This has been a busy week on the blog! It started with Hello Monday, a hair post Tuesday, What I Wore and What’s Up Wednesday, and Thursday Monthly Musings about Valentine’s Day yesterday. I almost called today’s post off, but here I am! Ha!
I am linking up with Andrea, etc. right here!
Here are my favorites from the week – they involve a lot of simple things like a few new purchases and food!
I am trying to eat better but still enjoy a few treats here and there.
So, in that vein, I made the famous two ingredient bagels that involve self-rising flours, Greek non-fat yogurt, a bit of egg wash, and the everything but the bagel seasoning.

I re-created my weekend bagel purchase but without the bacon.

Then, I got to see two former students (while both of us wore masks, of course!) – one has started a graphic tee/sweatshirt business and I custom ordered this giant red metallic heart on a pink sweatshirt. She is now a teacher at another local high school and we talked for a good hour when I picked up my sweatshirt from her house.

Then, another former student is selling plants! I bought this pothos plant for $10 and she delivered. She also took my Amazon pothos to try to rehabilitate it for me! Lol! It was down to one leaf. Does Amazon take returns on plants?

On Tuesday, I had a zero point WW marinara in the crockpot all day long – for 8 hours. The recipe was given to me by my blog friend Kim.

On Wednesday, we got the most beautiful snow! It started around 3:00 and I just looked out the window and enjoyed it.

Then, around 5:00 I took Ernie out and he acted like a crazy boy. He absolutely loves snow! It was a white out and it was so cool.

I used the marinara to make Skinny Biz pizza dough. It is basically the same as the bagels but with an addition of yeast and water. This recipe was also given to me by Kim. Tom had leftover pizza from his lunch at work the other day.

I used Essie flowerista to do a pinkish purple manicure.

I like to keep it really positive around here, but this spoke to me. Just let us teach. I am so tired of having to do more work to justify someone’s position in education that does not directly affect a child’s learning.

Look at the Pantone colors of the year! This is literally my shower curtain. I got the idea from my sister years ago to put yellow and grey together. I am probably doing my Master bath in Agreeable Grey by Sherwin Williams and now this has me wondering if I should do yellow accents/decor with it?

I miss real school. This made me laugh. I have had so many kids through the years that just get up to sharpen their pencil when they are bored or want to walk by someone. I guess the days of that are gone with Covid. I do have a nice electric sharpener now! Will we even use pencils anymore?

And, that’s all I’ve got today. This chica is tired. What were your favorites this week? I would love to know!
Thanks so much for stopping by my little space of the internet!

My son send me a picture of his “first snow” now that he’s living in TN. It was just flurries but he was excited. It is really beautiful!
Love the new nail color and the pizza looks so good! I hope you have a great weekend Amy!

How fun! I wish my sons would send more pictures but maybe I have to wait a few years! Thank you! You would love the pizza dough recipe; google skinny biz pizza dough.
You too!

Snow is my favorite too! It makes the world so beautiful and quiet! Another favorite this time of year are the winter tyres on my bike – I can literally cycle on ice!
Best favorite is of course that soldier girl is home for the weekend! Then I have to wait for six weeks until she gets home again… sad.
I love your memes! So true!

If it is going to be cold, I want snow, right? Winter biking is not common here, but Tom has been able to keep road biking because of our mild winter. He probably can’t this weekend because we have lots of rain coming. Yay for soldier girl! I bet you are so happy!

I am going to have to look for that marinara and pizza crust recipe! We use the 2-ing. dough for our pizza crust and it makes a delicious thin crust pizza but the addition of yeast and water looks like it makes a thicker dough I think my boys would like better. I use that dough for everything; bagels, pot pie crust, pizza, bread sticks and so much more!

Look up skinny biz pizza dough. I will try to put the marinara on the blog. The yeast makes it taste better. I made breadsticks with it last night! They were delish!

They are really good! I put them in the freezer and just take one out about an hour before I plan to make it. If you Google skinny biz pizza dough you will find it. It is better if you put it in the fridge at least a day before making it. I made breadsticks out of it last night and they were good! You hardly taste the yogurt in the dough due to the yeast. I still taste the yogurt a bit in the bagels. You too!

Homer loved the snow too! Both my kids were finished at noon, so everyone got to play in the snow for a bit…Homer too. I love the pencil sharpener meme. So funny! And the quote about educators. Amen. Those bagels looks amazing. How do you make them??

Awww! That is so good that they finished early. I love the meme and quote, too. We had a horrible training Wednesday and I had a headache all day.
Just google 2 ingredient bagels and you will see the recipe. It is so easy!

They still use pencils in school! While *in* school, they’re making an effort to do as little screen time as possible, even though they are 1:1 with devices. It’s a great system.
