Well, after today we only have 4 school days until spring break next week! Both of my sisters are off starting today! So happy for them. One is traveling and one is staying home.

I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites, of course!

Thank you for all the responses to my Guest Post by Ernie. He thinks you all are really cool and he has wagged his tail over every comment.

Thank you all also for all the comments on my Bachelorette Camp Elizabeth post.

Let’s talk about a few favorites from this week, shall we?

I love my new oven! I even tried the air fryer feature! No, it’s not convection; it’s literally air frying. Tom and I plan to get rid of the countertop air fryer when we re-do our kitchen and we will just use this.

I signed up for Ipsy again! I did it years ago and then stopped when I had accumulated so many products and little makeup pouches.

Look what I got in my first bag:

My favorite is the Yensa. I love the texture and you could simply wear this without foundation.

I also got this – it is muy bright…

Then, I couldn’t believe I got a full size Orfa…

bronzer/highlighter palette. This is gorgeous and I think it works really well!

I still love my Seint, but I am having fun playing with new stuff that I don’t have to be overwhelmed about in an Ulta or Sephora store.

I made a good Slender Kitchen dinner here:

At the bachelorette cabin, we had this brioche. I prefer the thicker Trader Joe’s brioche for French toast, but this makes a mean grilled cheese. Try it!

Try a caprese:

tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella, and a drizzle of balsamic. Restaurant quality! You would pay $15 for this in a restaurant, you feel?

This is the look of our mudroom and our hall bathroom and I don’t hate it for the future kitchen. This was in the bachelorette cabin.

Look how stinking cute! Do I need them? No! But, aren’t they cute? They are called “picnic”!

I bought these glasses from Amazon recommended by The Big Boo Podcast. They are not very darkly tinted for a super sunny day, but I like their vibe.

I really need to take down my St. Pat’s decor and put out my Easter decor. I also really want to remove anything that looks too wintery from my closet section that I pull from. I’m ready to wear springy blouses, light cardigans, and dresses. What about you?

Any favorites from the week?

Any fun weekend plans?

  1. Oh, I love those subscription boxes! I’m a junky! But you know, I have two daughters, so… Right!?
Yes for springy blouses, light cardigans, and dresses! But spring is slow over here this year… well well.
We’re actually going to the cabin this weekend, just hub and I. It’s really cozy there and you sleep like a log!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  2. I’ve been thinking of packing away some of my heaviest sweaters… but know I really can’t do that yet (in fact they’re predicting snow this weekend). I am so ready for some lighter weight spring clothing– heck! I’ve even been buying summer things. 🙂

  3. I’ve never subscribed to Ipsy before, but how fun to get makeup and skincare in the mail each month! I am like you and have so much right now, that I’ll probably never join it, but it’s a good way to try new things. I love that bronzer palette! Yay for your spring break next week! Do you have any plans? I’m so excited for the summer season. I’m so ready to swim and have relaxing days! 🤣

    1. I thought so! It’s a really good deal. I don’t have much right now, but I had accumulated so much before I started using Seint. We are staying home and then our kids have an Easter break and come home Wed! Tom took off to hang out with me and I have a fun things I want us to do. Me too!

  4. Bye Bye Winter, hello Spring! I love Ofra, the rodeo drive highlighter I see there in the bottom right is my favorite! Happy Friday beautiful!

  5. I have never done a makeup subscription box before. Sounds interesting to play with things at home. I have always been a bit of a makeup dummy, and the girls rarely wear makeup. Like you, I find Sephora overwhelming. I also am so sick of my winter closet, but I usually don’t start switching things out until early April. Looks like much rain for the days ahead, so I am just thankful for my rain boots right now. 😀

    1. I am pretty excited about it. I have saved so much money by using Seint makeup because I am so happy with it. But, for $10 a month, this seems like a fun way to try other things.
I feel like my closet is many seasons right now! Trying to wear spring long sleeved blouses to school this week!

  6. I love my Ipsy subscription. I’m a total junkie. I got that Purlisse BB cream this month, too, and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I’ve enjoyed everything Yensa, too, so I may need to track down that concealer.

    1. It’s a really good deal, right? I had heard great things about the BB and my friend uses Yensa. I am loving the palette, though. Wow – what a deal to get such a big piece through them.

  7. That oven looks amazing, glad it was was worth the wait! I need to put away some sweaters soon, but it has been an unusually cool and wet spring here in Phoenix and I’m not ready to. I’m just afraid we will go straight to HOT one of these days. I love the black and white checked flats! I just got a pair of hot pink driving loafers that I definitely don’t need, but I love them! Have a great weekend Amy!

    1. I think I really like it! It’s nice being able to use a full size sheet pan again to cook! Our weather has been crazy, too. It was way too warm in February so I knew we were in for it in March.

  8. Hi Amy. Tell us more about your new oven. I’m intrigued by the air fry feature. I assume it works well since you may ditch your counter top version. What brand is your new one?

    1. I figured this came standard with modern ovens because I had the same one for almost 20 years! I got a GE Profile with Wifi connect ability. You can download an app on your phone, too. It’s crazy!

  9. Ohh I want to try that bread. Those Rothy’s look so cute. I have closet purge on my to do list …not really purge but just get rid of a few things I didn’t wear this winter. I want to put Easter decs out too…same as last year…just a few touches but I also am waiting on what bunny purchase to arrive. Have a great weekend!

    1. I plan to buy the bread and make us caprese grilled cheese over spring break. I agree but I probably won’t buy the Rothy’s because I am looking toward open toed shoes. My dogs gotta live in the warm weather. They do not like to be contained. I still didn’t put Easter stuff out but I did put away St. Pat’s. I don’t love my Easter stuff I think is the reason I am not that motivated. It really needs an upgrade.

      1. I feel the same way about my dogs 😆 I think Vday and Easter are my fave because I like what I have and it’s just a few things. I swapped out Easter in three minutes. I’m waiting on one new bunny to arrive. Should be here this week.

  10. I’ve heard of Ipsy but don’t subscribe- great deals you got! Rothy’s shoes are cute! We are going to a wine tasting party tomorrow afternoon and then game night at friends afterwards….,Sunday = golf day! We are getting more rain next week and today it was 38 deg when i woke up. I’m hoping we don’t go from winter to summer!! And bypass spring. Have a great weekend!

    1. I feel like I got some good deals for $10ish, right? I probably won’t buy the Rothy’s because I am thinking more about open toe shoes now. You stay having fun! Nice!

  11. I am wondering if down the road if I ever get a new oven if I would get one with the air fryer feature. That is quite interesting to me. I probably need to start bringing in some spring clothes in my closet as I get so hot at work….of course, a lot of it is age :). Enjoy your weekend!
