How was your weekend? Let’s link up with Sarah and Holly to share!
Friday was a really nice day! I was going to go to the library and maybe stop by a store by myself but Eddie Otis seemed to want to go in the car with me so I took him with! He waited in the car while I got my requests and then we walked around the library and the surrounding neighborhood. I think he loved it because we came home and I actually put on my bathing suit and read outside and he napped for a long time.

I took some photos of the pretty little yards around the library.

I ordered Domino’s pizza for dinner (it was gross) and Tom and I watched our shows. It was a super chill and relaxing day.

I got another Kroger delivery at 7:45 am Saturday morning.

I think this is the bread Tanya talked about. You bake it the rest of the way and have a fresh baguette.

I got a surprise visit from Jack and made chocolate chip pancakes for him; he was on his way to work.
I had a little project. I separated out all the red gummy bears because my high school mascot were the Cubs and we were red and white.

I had a themed cocktail I was taking…

to a high school pool party – my high school friends. I didn’t crash a current high schooler’s pool party.
I made the cream cheese and red pepper jelly dip with Wheat Thins and…

Mexican layer dip.

This is Ruby Sue in her pineapple bikini.

It was so nice! My friends Beth and Mike host this every year. They live about 20 minutes from me and we have local high school friends and some friends that travel to come to it.

It was one of those days where you don’t have your phone on you to take photos as it should be. We stayed from about 1-6.
The drive there is very “Kentucky”.

And Sunday meant a road trip for Eddie Otis!

We made the drive to Columbus, Ohio for a niece’s graduation party!

She officially graduated last weekend

Sister picture – I didn’t have a drink.

Don’t forget that Fashion Files is tomorrow! Show us what you have been wearing or buying for early summer. Show us what you want to wear. Show us anything fashion adjacent!

That sounds like a fun and lovely weekend. I went to our library on Saturday and picked up Dolly All the Time as well… but I have a huge stack of books already so I’m not sure how quickly I’ll get around to reading it.

It was so social and nice!
Dolly is the perfect summer read. I don’t want it to end. Swoon!

We both traveled out of state to our niece’s grad party, lol. Our families are on the same wavelength! It looks like a great party and weekend. The pool with the balloon words in it is a cute touch! (It always interests me to see the way parties are decorated/personalized for the grad!). The pool party looks fantastic and your food contributions sound delicious. What fun to have friends since high school! I am in touch with no one from high school though Donnie is with a couple of friends. I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Ha! I thought of you and waved to Jacob in downtown Cincy. The drive was exactly 3 hours. We didn’t stop once on the way home. It was a pool party weekend. Both pools were salt water and I got in and enjoyed both of them. You too!

I feel like a dog named Ruby Sue should definitely have a pineapple bikini : ) My oldest was born in Columbus and we lived there exactly one year. We liked it a lot though and made some good friends in that short time. We all had babies. Congrats to the graduate!

Right? She was hilarious! She would “fight” the water by splashing and attacking.
My sister went to OSU and stayed there. I wish she was closer. It’s a fun city to visit, though.
Thank you!

Looks like a great party! I love the yellow and white striped umbrella. Eddie Otis is so cute! I love his photos and car adventures. We lived in Dayton for 10 years, 2nd through 10th grade. I have fond memories of living there. You’re inspiring me to visit our library! I’ll keep you posted. I used to go all of the time during the summer months when my son was young. Have a great week!

It was great! My sister is an art teacher and has a lot of color in her home. It’s very “her”. She has my mom’s outdoor table set and my mom’s kitchen table. It makes me happy to see them used.
My cousin lived in Dayton and we all met at the USAF museum once.
You should go! If you read 10 books, you can look for a Pizza Hut and get a personal pan pizza. I’m going to do that!

It was nice! I didn’t picture it but my sister had a really good Mexican food spread/taco bar that they did themselves.
EO was an angel in the car. I am so happy he is a good car traveler.

It was very social. Tom did well! He chatted for a total of 10 hours this weekend. Lol. I am. It is always so fun to be with them. We are planning a hometown sister stay this summer when we can really talk. I laugh so much with them. I hope you all have such good weather! Haha – that might be where they got the name. She was so funny.

What a fun and full weekend! I’m reading that Dolly All the Time book right now, too! Annabel Monaghan is an automatic read for me. I love all of her books! That gummy bear cocktail and pool party looked like so much fun! Do you get into the pool, or do you just socialize? I don’t love swimming or floating in social settings, unless it’s just me and a couple of other people. Congrats to your niece! I love that EO went with y’all for that! Maybe we can chat again this week. Happy Monday!

It was! Tom was super social – lol. I don’t want Dolly to end! It’s the perfect summer read and I find myself smiling while reading.
I called it a Cubtini and it had Wild Strawberry Crystal Light, vodka, pineapple juice, and Fresca.
I get in the pool! Well, the Saturday party was only 9 people and all the women got in while the men didn’t. But, everyone wore suits and coverups. So, yes, I am a water person, and almost always get in.
Sunday I forgot my suit so I wore my sister’s suit. The fun is in the pool! They were both just standing in the pool situations so no floating. I get that that is a little different. I would love to! Are you nervous about summer school?
