I am a day early for Currently, but hopefully Jenn won’t mind. I am doing Hodgepodge tomorrow and was struggling for a Tuesday idea!

Loving

I am loving all the green! We have had so much rain that maybe the green seems more vibrant this year?

I’m loving all the beautiful flowers in my yard, around town, and at all the garden centers and even places like Kroger with all of their plant offerings. Aren’t we lucky to have plants in our lives?

And, rain or shine, I am happy to have my little outdoor space.

I’m loving my new electrolytes find! They are from Costco, but I haven’t looked to see if they can be bought elsewhere. Thanks, Marilyn!

I’m loving this for my salmon!

I’m still loving my press ons and my fun spring color and…

a new shipment of more fun summer colors came in!

Looking forward to

Summer! I won’t feel that it’s truly summer until June 2nd at 3:30!

Leaving behind

I hope that I am leaving behind work drama and the bad parts of teaching so that I can remember and focus on the positive. And, honestly, most of the kid stuff is the positive and most of the adult stuff is the negative. My students make me laugh everyday and most of our interactions are positive.

I did follow up with her on the pregnant llama and we had a nice discussion. It wasn’t a cry for help.

Letting go of

I am a work in progress, but I hope I can let go of the small, insignificant stuff that annoys me. I hope I can let go of times when I think I have been slighted. I CAN let go of it – only after I have told everyone I know about it and many weeks have passed. Why am I like this?

Looking at

Much of my day – this! Why does he always look surprised/scared?

I’m also looking at my camera roll at my very full and fun April. The weekend with my sisters in my hometown, the 24 hours with my Spanish friends, and the weekend with my blogging friends all filled my camera roll and my cup. What a nice month!

What are you up to – currently?

Amy

  1. I’m glad it’s been a cup full kind of month for you. April was that for me as well and I don’t take that for granted! I think most people have a hard time letting slights and other “injustices” go. I truly think it’s part of our human nature, though that isn’t an excuse to accept it and not try to make changes. Have a great day!

  2. We are having a full week of rain and while driving yesterday it really struck me how green and vibrant and full everything is getting. I love those new blue and purple nail sets. I’m planning to do my nails a new color today and haven’t decided on what yet…

  4. You did have a great April and I bet all the good things will continue – loads of fun and celebration as you wrap up your teaching career!

Deciding to let go of feeling slighted is a BIG job that you can do. You have to catch yourself feeling that way and immediately start seeing things differently and praying to look at the situation with new eyes. Not that you asked my advice, but I’m giving it! ha!!

And yes, we are so lucky and so blessed by flowers!

  5. Maybe “perpetually worried” is how you can describe EO lol?

It’s VERY nice to see all of the green after that dry and windy Feb/March.

Your countdown is on! I think we have 14 days left?

    1. Yes! For sure! He is the most anxious of all the labs we have had.
      I agree!
Same – 14 with kids and 19 with kids and adults. Those 5 days are going to be rough. Did I mention that they have planned some stupid teacher competition? NO.

  6. I loved your answers to the prompts for this month! I feel the same about my April. We are so fortunate to have beautiful plants and scenery in our lives! I think this very thing often; the colors after the rain are always breathtaking. Everything is always so much more vibrant after the rain, too! I love what you said about letting go of the small things; I need to work on this in my life. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday, friend! xoxo

  7. Good morning! I do love my outdoor time: I filled up the bird feeders a couple weeks ago and it’s been a lot of fun to observe the different birds! A peaceful time for me out there. I have been feeling stressed about everything lately and not sure why. Maybe perimenopause hormones!

  8. Pretty nail colors! I think I need some pretty summer nails too!! So excited for you and your retirement! You certainly deserve it! May has been busier than usual with birthdays, parties, anniversaries, & graduations. Me and my brothers hosted a 60 year anniversary party for my parents this past weekend and this weekend my youngest daughter graduates. My nephew graduates in May and so do 2 of my friends kids. I have a big stack of cards on my desk!

  10. Your hair color looks so great! Sounds like a lovely month – your weekend with your blogging friends looked fun – I love my husband and boys but girls weekends are the absolute best. We came home from New Orleans yesterday and it seems everything here has burst into color and bloom in the 5 days we were gone.

  11. I may have to look for those electrolytes. I need to drink more water, but I don’t like water. I just like the hint of a taste. Love the nails…such fun colors! I’m glad your April was so good…one of the best things about phones these days.

  12. You are so right that school drama is usually more from adults than students. Love your new nails sets. You’re ready to roll for the end of spring and summer. Letting go of small stuff…we are very similar 🤣
