Today’s Hello Monday is going to be mostly pics and not many words because I did a bit too much activity this weekend and am writing this right before bedtime!
Friday after school I had Erica and Elizabeth over for happy hour on my patio and did a bit of tidying Thursday night…

I made Crescent roll wrapped brie with my raspberry jam on top of the brie. It turned out great!

Friday night I took Jack to dinner and it was really nice! He has a Saturday morning class so he pretty much has to stay there on Friday night, but I could tell he was missing his mom. We went to Carali’s which is a Peruvian chicken place…

I got a bowl…

We shared yucca fries…

Jack got a wrap with plantains…

I took a bath and read when I got home Friday night and was in bed by 9:00. I was still feeling a bit under the weather.

But, before I went to bed, I tried Lindsay’s hot toddy – wow! It really helped, I think!

Saturday we celebrated my mom’s birthday! My sister and my mom came to town and we did some shopping and eating.
This is a non-alcoholic drink – a frozen mint pomegranate lemonade…

My sister declared it the best drink she has ever had!

hummus and a few other mediterranean snacks…

Kate found the fanny pack of her dreams!

And, for dinner we ate at an Italian restaurant that has amazing ambiance…

My finds of the day were these to go coffee cups…

some more skinny syrup…

and this denim popover…

I finished this book and it was really good and with more depth than expected!

Trying to get back into this, but the mom is just so horrible and I don’t know if I can handle the writing style…

I did a little meal prep – I had the small low carb tortillas so I made breakfast tacos and two breakfast burritos…

My breakfast was a farmer’s market skillet I guess you could say…

Then, Tom, Ernie, and I went boating for our Sunday Funday…

And, I needed one more weekend day! Isn’t that always the case?
This is my last 5 day week for awhile! The week after this we have a fall break and have Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday off. It seems super early, but we did start school on August 10th this year.
How was your weekend? I hope it was great! We had high 80 temps and will get to the 90s a couple of days this week before we have highs in the 70s! You know you’re old when you talk about the temperature all the time, right?

I almost bought those same to you cups at Tj Maxx this weekend! Ha!! I am headed to Indiana today to visit Andrea and I was shopping for a few gifts for her when I saw those. They are so cute! Hope this week is a good one for you! 💗Kellyann

That’s so funny! She loves those prints I think? I think I have seen her post the same artist?
Oh have fun!
It is going to be 90 here for two days and then 78! You will love the lower humidity. She is about 4 hours north of me I think but the weather may be similar. Hope you have the best time!

How nice that you can spend time with your mum like that! It’s so great that you have her!
You showed a lot of good food and books – just like my weekend! 😀 But no boating… we went down to the docks and looked at the boat though… If you are tougher than me you can of course go out in the boat, but… A couple of my students told me that they swam in the sea during the weekend, are they crazy or is it me? 😀 (It’s 59° in the air and the water…)

Thank you! I thought of you on the boat. It was still so hot and sunny that I knew you were sad that it is getting so cold in Sweden! Yes, it was a fun weekend with lots of food and books. Your students are tough!

Happy Monday!
I spy The Grape Leaf- am I right?
Sounds like a great weekend, with lots of fun activities, but I’d need to take Monday off after a weekend like that!
Have a great week!

What a great weekend and how funny that we both had one on one son time. I guess it’s true that the way to their hearts is through their stomachs. I love that you got to spend the day with your mom and sister. That Italian restaurant looks amazing! Cute purchases, too! I love things like that- cute cups. I give you permission to quit the book. You are so right, the mom is SUPER annoying, but it does get better. I love all of Catherine Center’s books! I want to read that one. Have you read any of her others? They’re all so good. So Ernie swims in the lake? How adorable is he?! I love that y’all make him a part of your Sunday Funday outings. Yay for some breaks coming up! I hope you have a great day, my friend.

That is funny! It really is true. Mine are not huge eaters, but they love to snack. The mom is super triggering for me in the book because…I will let you fill in the blanks. I have not read any others of hers and I have not heard of Catherine Center. Thank you- will look her up! I hope you do, too!

Wow; you really ate a whole world full of flavors this weekend! I’m always impressed by the diverse variety of restaurants you have to pick from. We mostly just have pizza or Italian or maybe sandwich shops near us but that’s about it.

I did. I really like having so much to choose from here, but it is super tempting, too. Luckily I like to cook and can’t afford the time or money to eat out that much.

It looks like you had a great weekend! I love your shopping trips with your sister(s) and mom! Sunday funday on the boat looks great! I am loving the warmer temperatures with slightly cooler overnights. We have a peruvian chicken place in town and I keep forgetting about it. Your bowl looked delicious and reminds me to check ours out again! Have a great week!

Thank you! Yes – I hadn’t shopped much since school started. I was good to get out and see the fall stuff! Love the cooler mornings especially! You should try that Peruvian chicken. It’s very flavorful and they have great sauces! You too!

What a great weekend! I love that you had time with Jack. Your mom looks amazing. Im sure she had a great day! I love your sister’s fanny pack. Ernie on the boat is the best! So he will swim in the river? And can get back in the boat easily? I assume homer would be a swimmer but we’ve never tried haha

Thank you! Yes! She does not look 80. Isn’t that fanny pack perfect? She has a very distinct style and had been wanting leather. Ernie does swim in the river. He has that special dog ramp that was in my photo. He can’t get back on the boat otherwise. Aww, Homer wants to swim!

She doesn’t look 80! I thought that was a ramp. I’m not sure what Homer would do but part lab, I assume he’d want to swim 🙂

I know! It is a special ramp we bought several years ago. I bet he would. Do you all have a creek at a park or something like that for a baby step?

We should definitely find a creek to try
