I’m linking up with Kellyann and Jill today for Fashion Files!
Speaking of Kellyann, she has been talking about her blazers and looks so put together in them. But, I knew that her blazers wouldn’t work for me. I really wanted one, but I didn’t want a boxy cut or super structured shoulders. I didn’t really even want buttons. I wanted a stretchy comfortable fabric that wouldn’t wrinkle, too. Sounds like a tall order, right? And, why didn’t I want any of those things? I just didn’t think those would be flattering on me and I didn’t want to look like a linebacker.
Last Friday, Alli featured a light grey blazer from Walmart. I have been quite vocal that I am not a huge fan of Walmart. I have been burned many a time when I have shopped there. Plus, I don’t have one very close to my house. I have a Target very nearby and always leave happy. I always leave Walmart angry – maybe it’s just me. So, anyway, back to the blazer…it was a pretty high price point for Walmart and the brand was Scoop, which has intrigued me before.
You guys…the fabric is better than anything I could have dreamed up. They call it “scuba”. I don’t even know what to make of that, but this is really, really good. It has scrunched sleeves, which I also like. It seems like it would be very hard to wrinkle.

I ordered mine on Walmart.com and I couldn’t believe how speedy their shipping was.
And, a couple of days later, I ordered the hot pink! OMG! How cute for spring, right?
I hope it looks as good on me as it feels on me, but that’s probably not possible. I didn’t think the blazer trend would work for me.

The blazers I wear are that scuba fabric too. Mine are not a Walmart brand and have to be ordered but dang they are good. So glad you found some you like and they look great on you! I swear blazers go with everything and add that final, finishing touch! Thanks for linking up with us!

Isn’t that fabric the best? It didn’t look the same from the photos! I think I will get lots of wear out of them and they are super warm for our return of winter but I think they will also be cool enough for spring – the fabric is magic!

Walmart makes me angry too 🤣but Walmart online has never really failed me. I always tell myself that worse case I just have to go in for a return. Anyway, the blazer looks fabulous on you! I love the pink as well.

Good point! I need to start saying I like Walmart.com. Honestly I think they are trying to be Amazon and I think they have free mail returns or drop offs at the UPS store!

You look great in that blazer! That was a good choice and I bet the pink one would look awesome on you too. I love a blazer for adding structure to an outfit or to dress up a casual look. I have a dress from that Scoop line that is really well made and cute.

I love you in that black blazer! You should try it with a tee and jeans too! I wear that a lot, and guess what I love the most in my wardrobe right now? A hot pink blazer! You will love it too!

I need to know…. have you watched Younger and Season One Episode Five yet with the Swedish author? I watched it again last night and laughed and laughed about a particular part!

Blazer trends seem to come and go. I got on the trend 9 years ago, then fell off that wagon. Its just me. But that blazer looked darling on you! Cant wait to see the hot pink! so cute with a white tee and denim and you GG’s!

Yes! I had the prettiest Chanel inspired one back then that I really loved. I am excited to wear them with jeans. I am hoping they are in style for a while because I think they will work for 3 seasons for me?

you look so fabulous in the black blazer/ black pants combo! i agree: it would also look great with jeans and a t. in fact, i took myself over to the walmart site and ordered one! i have a love/hate relationship with walmart but they have also stepped it up in the home decor department! can’t wait to see you in the ho tpink!
