I have been enjoying this simple and low calorie mug cake for my after dinner treat lately and I thought I would share! You may have heard of it? This would be a great recipe for your kids, too!

You need:

a mug

Pam spray

2 cake mixes – angel food and another one – I have only used chocolate because I like chocolate cake!

fat free whip cream (optional)

Mix your two cake mixes in a big bowl or a baggie. You are just using the cake mix powder as is – you are not adding anything at all! I just used a baggie and I wrote the recipe on the bag to make it easier until I had it memorized. This makes a lot and you will have mug cakes for days!

Each time you want a mug cake, spray a mug with Pam,

Put 3 Tablespoons mix and 2 Tablespoons water in your mug and stir really well with a fork,

Then, microwave for 50-60 seconds. You can turn it out on a plate or eat from the mug!

Have you tried this? Let me know if you try it!

  1. Believe it or not… I don’t have a microwave! It broke a couple of years ago and we just didn’t buy a new one…

  2. Girl, YES!! This was a staple WW treat recipe that I had all the time years ago when I followed WW. I always called it the 3-2-1 mug cake. Such a great little treat! I need to mix this up for my teen for when she wants a treat! So easy for her to do anytime.

      1. I have ALL of the WW recipes. LOL They are old ones that don’t have points according to the new “colors”. I can send you some if you would like.

      2. I will send you some! That’s too much food freedom for me. LOL!!!! I need restriction. I tried to do WW a year ago and I wanted to count points the old way. I was a leader in the late 2000’s and it’s hard to teach this old dog new tricks.

  3. I’ve been on WW a couple of times in the past – some of their tips still stick with me. I like to look up WW ideas on Youtube. You’ll find a lot of YouTubers who show you what they eat in a day.
