I’m on Spring Break, so I am bringing back a yummy recipe that I posted last year!

You need:
ice cream sandwiches – I did the mini this time but I really think the big work better. You need a very soft crust on the sandwiches so that this dessert all melds together.
Cool Whip
Heath pieces

Using an 8×8 (I highly recommend using the aluminum disposable if you are going to take this somewhere – and this would be a great dessert to take to a bbq – with a very small number of people, of course), spread a bit of Cool Whip on the bottom of the pan.

Now do one layer of your ice cream sandwiches.

Now do another thicker layer of Cool Whip and half of the Heath bag.
Repeat and this is what it will look like.

Put in freezer for several hours so that it will re-freeze together well. Cut in slices and serve.

Disclaimer: One son was mad that I “ruined” the ice cream sandwiches and said “So you mean you took something great on its own and did this to it?” Husband does not like Cool Whip so I said I would do vanilla ice cream instead of Cool Whip next time.
You can’t please everyone, right?
Let me know if you make it!

Amy, you’re a delight! It’s SO funny that you share your family’s negative comments!!! L O L ! !
I would gladly eat your dessert if it was served to me, but I respect your son’s comment!
We don’t have Cool Whip and we don’t have heath… but I think we have a similar chocolate called daim. Is it like butterscotch covered in chocolate?
Enjoy your day!

Well thank you! I ate too much of it! Heath is more like chocolate covered toffee. It’s so good!

Thank you! Yes, this is not good if you are trying to rid yourself of the Quarantine 15 like I am.

Yes! I think I did it once with Oreos? I must have gotten the recipe from a blog.

That sounds delicious! I am going to add the ingredients to my grocery list! My husband loves heath candy bars. Though, I can hear my youngest saying the same thing your son said! Lol! Thanks for the great blog! Take care and have a great week!

Yay Sherri! Your husband will like it and maybe think it tastes like a DQ ice cream cake?
Save a sandwich out for your daughter! Lol!

This looks delish! And…I feel the same way about flavors, decorations, etc. Sept 1st means means pumpkins, apples, etc. I even change my front door hanger to my pumpkin one by mid-Sept 😂

Let me know if you try it!
Hadley could do this one!
You can also do an Oreo version instead of the sandwiches. September 1! This year will be weird with Derby? I haven’t decided if I will put out my horse flag? Probably not!

I have a jockey silk door hanger. I will put it out for derby weekend…but then switch it out for the pumpkin 😂

I think their college is holding class that day and on Labor Day Monday to get all of the required time in before Thanksgiving break!

Haters gonna hate. Personally, I could eat a whole pan of this. Of course, that’s why I’m also battling the Covid 15. (More like 20, if we’re being honest.)

Me too! And me too! I’m hoping going back to school will help me get a jump start on better habits. At least wearing a mask will make it hard to eat!

This dessert looks AMAZING! I am thinking I may use chopped up Reeses peanut butter cups. Heath bars are not nice to my teeth! Would be a fun dessert to make for Memorial Day bbq! Have a great week and relax!

I think you could go in many directions with this dessert! I love Reese’s too! I am willing to risk my teeth for Heath! That rhymes!
