Happy Hump Day! I am linking up today with The Style Six here.
I have decided a bad photo is better than no photo. Kristin talked about not letting perfection be the enemy of good with outfit photos and I agree. That is so true in so many aspects of life. As women, I think we sometimes fall into that trap – wanting the perfect house, the perfect holiday, etc. You just cannot have it all or do it all. Sometimes good is enough. Does everyone feel better now? Ha!
So, here are some quick snapshots of what I have been putting on. It has been between 30-50 degrees lately here in Louisville, Kentucky.
Thanksgiving Day I decided to be comfortable and wore my Madewell sneaks, black leggings and my Aerie pullover that has already paid for itself. It is not flattering, but it is so easy to throw on. I kind of wished I had changed and dressed up more later in the day but we were just the four of us at home.

Friday night when we went to the outdoor artwalk I wore my turtle neck Aerie pullover that my sister got me last year. I wore leggings and my New Balance tennies.

Saturday night dinner and I wore my Aerie crackle leggings, really old black heels from a consignment store, a festive blouse, and my Kendra Scott birthday necklace with only the one strand.

I added this old Target black shawl/poncho. We sat on a heated patio at a restaurant and I did not need it. Those heated patios can be intense. Kentucky is closed to indoor dining until December 13.

Monday for teaching I wanted to be cozy and comfortable because it was cold and rainy. It is a total coincidence that I put my hand on my heart in my Costco star sweater. I am not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Ernie and I had a cold walk and I dressed for it.

What have you been wearing lately?
Gift Ideas: You cannot go wrong with anything from Aerie for a girl/woman from ages 12- infinity. I love my Madewell sneakers and again, anything from Madewell is awesome. Kendra Scott is another favorite brand and anyone would be thrilled to receive something of hers!

Oh, I’m so thick… You’ve been talking about Aerie and I didn’t get it – of course it’s American Eagle! We have them here! When I searched online they mostly sold bathing clothes (!?), but still…
Your hand on your stars – you’re so funny!
Well, I’m still in my cozy leggings mode… black today with a t-shirt, a cardigan and a blanket scarf (yes!). Just realized I have a pair of jeans leggings somewhere, got to find them!
2,5 weeks to go! Wop wop!

My photos have been so bad lately that I am relieved to read that a bad photo is better than no photo – that’s kind of what I was thinking too! I may have to get those crackle leggings – I ordered a pair of leggings from Aerie and my order got cancelled! Such a bummer!

Your photos aren’t bad at all! It is true. I would rather just see the outfit idea and it doesn’t need to be perfect. I think you should get the crackle leggings. They are perfect. The price is really great. I am receiving Aerie velvet leggings today in the mail! I am so excited and I hope they work. I am so impressed with Aerie – the quality and price make my frugal heart happy. That is crazy about your order getting canceled. I’ve heard more and more of that lately though. Things get taken out of online cart before you can pay.
Have a wonderful day!

I wear the heck out of my two Aerie pullovers too! I also love sweaters and leggings. I bought two pairs of leggings from old navy a couple months ago and love them.

They are just so good! I have not bought anything from Old Navy in forever. I feel like I’m giving all my love lately to Target. They are killing it – the robe, the ponchos, the Universal Thread and Knox Rose brand. And it’s just too easy to order from my app. I need to stop!

Target app came in clutch Monday when I realized my kids needed gloves and hats …& I got the cyber Monday/online sale deal via the app & just did drive up pick up . Target saved the day!

Welcome to the future, right? I love that convenience. Lately I am in a pattern where I order a piece of clothing online, return it to the store, and browse around. It’s my entertainment I guess.

Hey, I just got that Costco sweater last week! Love it!
I just got my first top for Aerie about a month ago. I had never bothered to shop there before for some reason, and now I think I’m hooked.

Which pattern did you get?
Aerie is so reasonable and such high quality! I am glad you like it – it works well for this crazy casual social distant life we are living!
How are you feeling? I have been thinking about you and hoping you are back to 100%!

I got the stars! 🙂 I have a solid black one I got last year, and I didn’t realize until I got the stars home they are the same brand. I LOVE the fit!
I’m doing well and back to the grind. Still can’t smell or taste though. 😦

Thank you! Same here – it is nice to re-visit the sweaters from last year that I was so sick of by Februrary! Ha! My new quarantine life seems made for black leggings and a sweater. Not much layering or accessorizing going on right now, sadly. Have a great day!

My wardrobe would be very lacking if it wasn’t for Aerie! I love their stuff. I got my crackle leggings in on Saturday and wore them Saturday night with a chenille sweater from Target. So glad that I bought them. I like them WAY better than my Spanx faux leather leggings!

I’m new to Aerie but it’s quickly becoming a favorite! Aren’t the crackle leggings perfection? Mine are on right now and they are really warm. I have a confession. I ordered the spanx in petite today to compare. Love that they have a shorter length but I will totally send back if I don’t think they are worth the $$$.

I purchased a pair of Vuori performance joggers while we were in Pebble Beach last month. OH MY WORD. SOFTEST JOGGERS EVER! I love them so much I purchased another pair in heather navy. The first pair is a charcoal grey. They are the most comfortable and softest joggers I have ever owned. I am always getting ads about them but wasn’t sure how they ran size wise. So glad I got to try them on because I probably would have gotten a large and they run TTS and I got mediums. I always worry about ordering online and having never tried them on……..And you know I am an Athleta gal thru and thru and Vuori is now my favorite for joggers!!! They are flattering too. I hear the harem pants from them are amazing too! So pretty sure they will be my next purchase. Athleisure wear for the win every day! HAHA!

I’ve seen ads so that is good to know! I don’t have any joggers. Have you seen the mix between joggers and leggings that Sheaffer has been raving about?

They do look really good. I can’t think of brand but I know they are from Nordstrom bc I think the big bloggers make the most $ from them. It’s hard to know if you can trust everything but I do love Nordstrom customer service.

I am a huge Nordstrom fan too. Ok well I will go over to her blog. I know who she is but sometimes I get tired of certain bloggers. LOL shhhhhh. don’t tell anyone. HAHAHA

Ok I went to her page and if they are the ones she’s been talking about they are from Amazon. I don’t buy amazon clothes anymore. I would rather spend more on quality clothes and maybe have less. I used to- but I just don’t anymore.

I have been eyeballing those Vuori joggers but wasn’t sure how they fit. I wear an 8 usually. Can you tell me how they fit on you? I usually size up to a large in most joggers because I do not like a tight waistband. Then I end up with a saggy bottom. LOL (Flat butt problems) Thanks!!!

Hope Kim can help you! I want to know, too, but not sure joggers would work for me. They would have to not be too bulky so I don’t look shorter and stouter!

Hi! I’m a size 6 in most things and the mediums fit me perfectly. Room for movement but not too baggy and not tight. I didn’t try on a small – and i probably could wear them in a small but i don’t like tight leisure clothes. They are seriously my favorite joggers of all time. A close second is cozy earth joggers and i wear a medium in those too. I hope that helps!!

I love that Aerie pullover…I think I ordered it after you talked about it? I actually think it’s pretty flattering because it doesn’t make me look like a linebacker in the shoulders. I wish it were longer. I may grab another with any Christmas money I get.

I could have gone down a size but I love it! It’s the thing I reach for the most and it’s nice enough to virtual teach in! I wish it were a little longer, too. Wonder if they have tall sizes – that’s a good trick for longer lengths. Great job on not getting much fast fashion. I can’t wait to see your Stitch Fix stuff. I didn’t have much luck with them.
