How was your week? Mine was pretty good! I think my attitude helped me have a good week. I felt pretty calm and chill this week for some reason.

I love the mature trees in my neighborhood. I took a moment to appreciate where I live this week and snapped this photo.
I have a free Spotify account and I was thrilled with the time capsule feature! They put together a playlist for you and it is magic! I was so happy to hear what they picked for me. I am also a little creeped out by how they knew I liked most of these songs?
Sometimes I forget everything that my Costco membership offers me. I saved almost $100 on my contact lens (compared to the vision center and Target Optical).
I try to respect my boys and remember this is my blog and not theirs – I stopped posting stuff about them on Facebook when they turned 13 – unless they said it was o.k. They are private and deserve that privacy. But I decided to share this text from Mason. He has a pretty hard Spanish class and sent me a photo of his verb charts and his message in Spanish means he is ready for his big exam. Love this!
If you have young kids, you should follow Polka Dotty Place blog. Look how cute! You simply take the canister of cinnamon rolls and create these!
When I went out for my college girls dinner I had the brussel sprouts salad. I like to try to re-create restaurant items so I might try to do this at home!
An afternoon coffee has been a nice treat lately. This is when I do my special whip and pumpkin spice on top!
I had a fun afternoon at a new pizza place with patio. My work friend and I met and split some breadsticks and had a cocktail.
I got my new glasses! I used Target Optical and got two pairs of Ray Bans. I had not gotten glasses in four years.
I have talked about my Solo Stove and I know many of you are also enjoying fire pits. I love these little brick starters. I use just a chunk and not a whole one and it really helps me to start my fire. I am always overly proud of myself when I can do something like start a fire. Cave girl!
I picked this mix up at Costco. It just looks like fall!
And, Tom requested these. He loves dark chocolate. I do, too, but he really loves it!

My weekend plans are up in the air because we have some rain coming in apparently. We want to take the boat out because our days are numbered. I would like at least one fire and hopefully someone to share it!

Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa 
I just got glasses at Costco – hadn’t had a new pair in YEARS! We always order our contacts from Costco, they really do have great prices. We use the eye dr. inside Costco and after my exam I was looking at the glasses. It was crazy because within 5 minutes I found new glasses! I got new shades there as well – I was thrilled!

I need to look at the glasses there but the line was long and they were only letting two people back there at a time. I may go back! So smart to use your membership that way!

Thank you! I realized the dark ones are very similar to my old ones but I guess I like what I like. It’s overwhelming to pick new frames! Can’t wait for my prescription sunglasses to be ready! Game changer!

This past year I discovered Zenni for glasses. I got a pair through my dr’s office (because insurance paid for a good bit), but I wanted a fun pair too. I used the specs off the “good pair” to search through Zenni’s website. I found a frame I loved and bought it in four(!) colors – all four were cheaper than the doctor’s office ones!

Wow! I will look into Zenni! I have heard of them. I did make sure the dr office measured my pupillary distance for me so I have that! Thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the reminder about using Costco for contacts!!! I’m totally doing that next time I need contacts!! I hope your son did GREAT on his Spanish exam!! You look great in both pairs of glasses, my favorite are the darker rimmed ones! And…….I want to make my coffee just likes yours! YUM!!

You’re welcome! He doesn’t know how he did? He doesn’t understand the scoring and is afraid to email the professor? Thank you – I like the clear better but dark probably looks better. I get my prescription sunglasses today and I am so excited! I’m not putting contacts in much lately.

Oh my word! That Reeses fall mix would be my kryptonite! Love the glasses! Super cute! Hope you get out on the boat. Out weather is dropping a tad and we don’t have any plans for the weekend. Which is ok with me! Tony is in a golf Tourn tomorrow and I am heading up to fresno with my daughter to do some shopping and having lunch at chick fil a. Its a great place to eat lunch and still stay on WW plan.

I’m doing pretty well with it! I need to bag some up for friends. Thank you – loving my new glasses and today I get to pick up my prescription sunglasses! We got out on boat last night and it was so nice! We are eating on a patio with friends tonight and today I’m hoping to go to a fall festival flea market. So grateful for a bit of this in Kentucky. It’s outside but masks will be required. That will be fun with your daughter. What do you get at CFA? I really love their naked nuggets!

Good for you! I’d have eaten it all by now! No lie. Here’s my go to at CFA: 12 grilled nuggets- fruit- diet lemonade . Tony gets 12 nuggets- large fries – Diet Coke – and yes i eat a few fries! Another fan fave now is a grilled sandwich and i order an extra grilled filet and eat it open faced- 2 sandwiches and no fruit or fries. It’s a WW hack because the grilled chicken is 0 points so you count the bun. That’s it. And it fills me up!!

Great pair of glasses! The transparent ones are really cool, and the black ones are a real classic. I like Ray Bans! I only have really cheap glasses… I’ve almost given up using lenses, it’s so annoying that I can’t read when I wear them!
I hope you had a nice day on the boat! We went down to the docks to have a look at our little boat, most of our neighbors have taken theirs up from the water and put them on their parking spaces…. Winter is on its way…

Thank you T-T! Can I call you that? I love nicknames. My niece is Nora Jane and I call her NJ. Ray Bans are great quality. Did I say that I use my husband’s Ray Bans he bought in 1995? That’s quality for you! I have to take mine off to read up close but need them for distance. Yes, winter is on its way. Tom will say we need to drain the fluids and winterize soon. (Of the boat!) How was your weekend with your daughter? Has she changed?

Weekend with daughter was great! She fell asleep in the middle of the day, totally wrecked… She’s just spent four days in a tent in the wilderness of northern Sweden… She somehow looks taller and more self-assure… but she’s still my baby! Do you long for your boys!? Are they ok?

I love your new glasses….both pairs. I get my contacts through Costco, and it was even cheaper than using our new vision insurance at the optometrist. (I’m getting rid of the vision insurance next year!) Hope you had a good weekend.

Thank you! I don’t have vision insurance and never have. I only get new contacts every 2 years and new glasses less than that so it doesn’t make sense to have all that $ taken our monthly. It looks like you had a great trip! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!
