Ah, fall! We just love it so much, don’t we? Let’s not think of what’s coming and try to live in the moment. What’s coming, you ask? WINTER!
I am going to use some photos from past seasons in this post, fyi.

Here are some things I hope to do this season…
Decorate for fall! Buy real or faux mums and pumpkins for porch. Decorate fall in general September 1 and add Halloween October 1 and Thanksgiving November 1.

Eat on patios now that it’s tolerable again
Enjoy apple flavors in September
Enjoy pumpkin flavors in October
Use solo stove on porch
Watch tv on porch
Entertain on porch
Play mah jong
Read some fall themed books
Watch some fall themed shows/movies
Make soup and try some new soup recipes
Make my first batch of chili
Do some hiking
Bake bread
Make some new recipes – I really enjoyed learning a bunch of new German recipes last year. Tom and I took a German cooking class, bought a German cookbook from our old German restaurant no longer in business and we really embraced the whole German theme! I haven’t decided what kind of recipes to try this year
Take lots of fall photos
Clean out and organize fall clothing
Go to fall events
Go to the pumpkin chunkin’ event/fundraiser

Make a German meal for Oktoberfest
Experiment with fall flavored coffee/cocktails
Make apple cider sangria
Fall leaf peeping on the boat

Celebrate besties’ birthdays – first bestie is September, second is October, and then mine is November
Celebrate my birthday
Celebrate Thanksgiving
What about you? What is on your fall list? Do you make one?
Amy
I’m not type A enough to make an actual list, haha. However, there are a few things I’ve made a mental note of that I’d like to do this fall. Your list is great- so many good things on it. I hope you get to them all. Lots of birthdays to celebrate- that’s cool! I have one good friend’s to celebrate as well as Abby’s birthday. Your pictures are all so good and fall like- I like the one with your patio and the stringed lights creating a great ambiance.

I’ve had seasons where I do them and where I don’t and I definitely feel like writing it down helps me to have more fun as crazy as that sounds. Thank you! I like looking back at old photos for inspiration, too. I love the look of leaves and don’t like them to be raked, to be honest. It’s better for the environment to leave them I have heard.

This is such a great fall list! I love the picture of EO coming out of the water with a piece of pumpkin. I haven’t made a fall list yet, but I need to do this!

Thank you! That was so funny! It was a week later, I think! Yes, I think you should. My young former student/friend told me to plan “side quests”, too. Such a fun idea! She just moved to Chicago so I send her Chicago quests!
