Jen often does this type of post, and I felt really happy by little things in my life the other day and started my own list! They are in no particular order! I hope you enjoy this and leave me a little happy that you experienced in the comments!
My new wooden cutting board that is the perfect size and can double as a charcuterie board
One coat of Kur Londontown on my nails – or two coats! It’s called illuminating nail concealer and it’s your nails but better.
Asking Alexa to play soft jazz, coffee shop music, or something relaxing
The velvety feel of Eddie Otis’ ears

Going out in person to do my shopping instead of ordering
Froth

The smell of a struck match and my long matches in a pretty box

Ted Lasso and listening to Tom laugh while watching it on Wednesday nights when a new episode releases
Jack coming for dinner Sunday night and Facetiming with Mason and listening to their inside jokes
Tom coming home at the end of the day – Eddie Otis and I both wag our tails – lol
Watching the joy of Eddie Otis when Tom comes home
Using up what I have and not wasting
Getting a message from a former student
Eddie Otis’ silly things like carrying this cooler around

A heavy glass

What are some “little happies” you’ve experienced lately?
Amy
Eddie Otis and his cooler 🤩. Priceless… This is a lovely list, Amy. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.

oh, I love this! Happies….cooking in my kitchen for people I love (double happy if someone is in there with me!) – Spotify – doing a puzzle for the season we’re in – being on the lake – my dogs greeting me when I get home – a great pickleball matchup – going to church together – completing a project – going out to eat or for cocktails with friends.
Love yours too – especially the JOY Eddie Otis gives you (and us!)
Happy Thursday!!

Thanks for the shout out! You know I love this post. These lists just make me happy, you know? When we look for the good in life, we keep finding it more and more! I really love all of the things that made you happy this week. Things that made me happy this week are the funny sayings and sweet greetings of kindergarten kiddos, hearing Mandy laugh hysterically one day this week, my Wednesday night at Rotolo’s, and the live music we listened to while we were there. It’s been a great week, and I’m happy about this! I hope you have the very best day, my friend. xoxo

Thank you! They are a big stress reliever, no? I just like to pet them over and over. Those are great! I wish we could have windows open!

Such a joy filled list! It made me think of a quote I read and took note of – “joy doesn’t happen by accident. it is something we must choose intentionally, each and every day.” I love your reminder that joy can be found in the simple things surrounding us! Happy Thursday!

Finishing up a product and throwing it away brings me joy too! A few “little happies” for me are: an unexpected thunderstorm (had 2″ awhile back), the smell of a freshly mowed yard, my cleaned out fridge and freezer, yummy cupcakes I made using up some carrots in my fridge.

SO many things! The way the sunlight was shining through the window this morning, hearing small children sing worship songs, connecting with a friend over something that we were both worried about (now we can worry together yay!)

Oh, what a wonderful idea. I need to get one of those little bitty spiral notebooks and carry one around. The photos of Eddie Otis, especially carrying a cooler? Priceless!
One of my little happies is the text chain with my docent buddies…talking about the Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren. Another is Jack and his sploots!

Hi Amy!
I have a lot because we are on a much need vacation right now! Margaritaville in Ft. Myers was fun now onto a rented house for a few days and I’m happy for that! But, on the way down to Florida we drove not doing that again and saw all the Louisville signs and I thought of you every single time and wished we could have seen each other even for only 5 mins! And that made me very happy!
Cheers!

Watching the joy of the dogs when Scott comes home from weeks (or months) away never gets old!
The cooler carry is quite the party trick.

Right? Eddie Otis needs to hug Tom when he comes out from the bathroom and getting dressed when he was only away from him for 30 minutes. It’s the cutest thing.
I was shocked he could carry it!

I have the KUR nail polish and like it, but feel like it is chipping within a day or two now when it seems like I use to get a few days wear out of it before chipping. Do you use a top coat?

I don’t always use a top coat. I have one that isn’t the best.

The velvet softness of your dog’s ears is a good one. I love how soft my cat’s fur is or how warm they always are. They are like little heating pads. Visiting from Talking About it Tuesday.
