How was your weekend? Mine was nice. I am linking up with Sarah and Holly to share a bit.
Friday I enjoyed an iced coffee – the Salty Canadian I shared Friday. I use decaf instant espresso powder so I don’t worry about too much caffeine.

While on our morning walk, I was pleased to see a full bike rack. Love that!

The leathergoods store where Mason works and whose founder was my student was having a vault sale and I wanted to see what they offered. It was great! I also ran into another former student, and it was so fun to see him!

I also enjoyed walking around this area of the city which is called NULU.

And, I went to see the new Magnolia Bakery!

I ran into a former student who is now a dentist.

I went home to Edde Otis and when Tom got home we ordered pad thai. We hadn’t had it in a long time!

This is Eddie Otis’ collection of stuffed animals that he has brought to the door to greet Daddy or when it’s time to walk or go in the car.

Friday night I watched this. It was so cute, but have a Kleenex handy.

Saturday morning I had a pedicure appointment. It had been over two months since I had my white gel pedi done.

I chose OPI Less is Norse which is a navy with gray in it. It’s not as dark as it looks here:

We had dinner out on this lovely patio with our friends Dan and Kara that evening.

The patio had water misters, but it wasn’t too terribly hot.

We had some queso and tacos.

We walked to Graeter’s after and I had toffee chip. Tom always gets black raspberry chip.

Sunday it was cool enough outside for a sweatshirt and a blanket!

I received a book in the mail Saturday and started reading it. Do you know rapper Jack Harlow? This is his mom. I taught her other son. She is a motivational speaker and writer. Tom asked if this book was written in rap. It’s not, but you are free to rap it rather than read it.

“Chobani to the left, Chobani to the right, Chobani for now, Chobani for later (pumpkin spice), so much Chobani there is hardly room for a tater”. That’s my rapping.

I guess you can tell I did a Target pick up for only Chobani? There was a deal and I am making myself save the pumpkin. Jen made me try the Cookies & Cream and I love it!
I returned two of my Target linen pants, too. The black because I don’t really need another black pant and the larger size of the polka dot. The pairs weren’t showing up with my credit card or my Target app and the price has no gone up to $30 from $21 and the cashier gave me a store credit as if I had paid $30. I told her I felt bad but she assured me that since the money goes back to Target due to store credit that I shouldn’t feel bad and it’s not my fault the purchase didn’t show up. I made $18, I guess.
I also ran by Trader Joe’s to get some things for easy dinners this week.

Jen also made me get these and I have been wanting them!

These are really good. They were an impulse purchase!

Wednesday, September 2 is our next Currently and the themes will be: Adjusting (to), Baking/Cooking, Decorating, Balancing, and Learning.

It looks like a nice weekend with great weather and fun things to do. I run into students a lot but having been a sub, it hits differently for the students and me, lol. I’m sure it’s neat to see students whom you saw five days in a row for a school year. All of your food looks good. Trader Joe’s has really good snacks- I have to be in a “strong” state of mind or accept that I’m going to be buying lots of impulse purchases…

And many of them I taught for more than a year! I do, too. I came home with some impulse purchases for sure!

It’s so cute, no? I love a cool morning and evening. It felt like Michigan which I’m still hoping to get you to go visit! I want to go to Maine, though, which probably is similar if not cooler.

I’m glad you had an enjoyable weekend! I’m seriously jealous of that blanket weather you had on Saturday. Ours is so close that I can almost feel it! I was going to decorate for fall this weekend, but I think I’ll wait until the weekend of Labor day. I have a four day weekend that week! I’m off that Friday and the Monday of. Woohoo! On a side note, I also love seeing a full bike rack at school. Most of our kiddos are walkers/bikers. I love that, too! I hope you’re able to have a good day, my friend. You’re heavy on my mind today!

Thank you! It was nice! I know! I think that is a perfect thing for Labor Day weekend. I like to do apple scents and flavors in Sept. and Labor Day is actually pretty late this year.
I like to shop my house first and see what I have in orange and yellow and look at my old stuff. So, I do it in stages.
Thank you and same!

That iced coffee looks good and the leathergoods store sale looks fantastic. How great to catch up with all your old students. Your city is so cute. and so is Eddie Otis’ pile of toys. The dinner out looks tasty and I had a blanket over me yesterday, it was quite chilly here. Your Trader Joe’s buys look like great ones.

It’s a cool store. The sale was held on the second floor which was Muhammad Ali’s practice gym. Haha – don’t quit my day job!
