It’s time for another edition of Fashion Files with Amy and Marsha!
Let’s start off with a really bad photo of me in my gauzy stuff with my phone charging! I was going to hear music on Father’s Day in the hot sun of the afternoon, and I will admit my hair was damp (a little stay cool trick). I wore my turquoise shorts and my white shirt with my tan flip flops and I had my tan hat in the car.
I wore this together with Jenn and Marilyn and wore it again on Tuesday to go to my hometown with my sisters. I was pleasantly surprised that the navy in the blouse matched the navy in the skort. Skorts are really great in my opinion. There are the more athletic type and the slightly dressier type. I have found that flat fronted skorts look best on me. Send me any skort links that fit that bill. I would like to add a couple.
I am not sure why my flip flops are not all the way on? Eddie Otis steals towels from our towel basket, by the way.
I wore this to my hair appointment. The kimono didn’t work well under the cape so I had to remove it. Lol! Can you see Eddie Otis’ Halloween lambie stuffed toy?
I wore this after the hair was done to go hear music. I thought it was too hot for the kimono at this point in the day. Also, I ended up having to wear my rain jacket over it!
I placed a Walmart order for a new swim suit in red, a white cover up, a black cover up, and a swim skirt/coverup that you can wear over a tank swimsuit.
I am more into skorts than dresses this season but I don’t have very many short-sleeved blouses.
I am still working with a much smaller wardrobe.
Molly gave these silver Birkenstocks to me. She said the big toe enclosure bothered her. I really like this style.
I stand by my claim that rubber Birkenstocks are the most comfortable. I really want to get a new pair!

I love the kimono with the jean shorts! I might have to try that look today… though now that I type that I’m not sure I have jean shorts. Hmm… I’ll have to add that to my list of things to look for when my mom and I go shopping next week.

Your shorts in the first pic remind me of shorts that I featured in my (small) FF post!! I have had the leather strap Birks for probably ten years now. I wear them all the time and can’t imagine trying a different kind at this point, lol. I’m glad you found a pair that you love. Thanks for the link up :).

A skort is such a great idea, I like the look. Nice score on the silver birks too.
I have been wearing a mix of pants and dresses and shorts every now and then, it’s so hot!

That adorable sardine skort is really working over time for you. I love it. And that kimono is so gorgeous. I love the colors and the print. I cracked up that your flip flops aren’t all the way on your feet and you don’t know why! LOL Those hadn’t me down Birkenstocks are really cute but I also can’t stand the thing between my toes. I haven’t tried the rubber Birkies yet. I find the regular ones too stiff and uncomfortable for my old sensitive feet, but I love the shearling lined ones! I have three pairs of those and will likely add more in years to come. But maybe I’ll give the rubber ones a try! Thanks for the link party!

I have a bag here in Florida with summer clothes that I don’t find appropriate in Sweden (colors too vivid, cut offs too short, blouse too see-through…) and I get by on those. I’m glad you like the Crocs Miami and I have been on the fence about my thoughts on the Adidas MJs but these neutrals look great! Might copy off of you!

Surprisingly I haven’t reached for my skorts as much this year. I do think I ended up wearing mine later in the summer last year. This week, I have been playing around with dresses over linen pants having been inspired by Shelbee and Marsha. I am trying to be good and shop my closet till I go visit Jodie, but I am sure I will not escape a thrifting outing or 2 before my trip.

I ordered two bathing suits (keeping both) and two coverups which I realized were both blue and I have two blue coverups but they’re all different so I might keep them both. I wear one every day so it’s practical too. I will have to send you a pic of my red rattan wedges and purse. They’re so cute!

I just love the sardine skort! I bought a black and white checked one at Talbots. It’s in my Fashion Files this week. I forgot that I don’t like the ones with the flaps! I wish I could like Birkenstocks, but they’re so hard.

I have been going thru my closet trying to wear everything and see if I still love it. If not, it gets sold or donated. I have alot of shorts in different colors but I love so many of them. My Birkenstocks are my favorite sandals for the summer specifically my navy Siena ones.
