Today’s post is a mix between a “Friday Favorites” and a gratitude list. Of course, I get excited about the truly deep meaningful parts of life, but I thought I would talk about the little things in life.
The magic of flowers blooming again and taking photos of them- it never gets old.
A fresh Chobani creamer and finding a new good flavor. I can’t help it. I like my frothy creamer. It gets me out of bed. This new s’mores is good!

A new podcast episode release of…

A magazine in the mail – even though they are dinky and mostly ads now

An alert that new library requests have come in for me – I like to have a large stack of options for free! Isn’t the library great?

A really well made cocktail

A great candle that burns great and isn’t headache inducing

Clean laundry and seeing it all folded nicely – still using B and B Moonlit Goddess

A sunny day with a light breeze

Spring rain

Making my dog happy by saying it’s time to walk
A great pad of paper and a great pen – my favorite brand of pen is Tul from Amazon

Getting to play Mah Jong

Cute napkins and plates

When I make something good and a little fancy like a quiche

What is something you get excited about these days?

Great list! It is sad that magazines have become full of ads. I don’t get any anymore but I used to look forward to receiving the ones that I did. Enjoying spring rain and nice sunny days surely are enjoyable things about this season :). The quiche looks good! I feel good about making homemade crust for things like quiche and chicken pot pie but the bad thing about making my own crust is that I can’t make it look really good with the edges pressed just so. My joy has to come from knowing I made it and how good it tastes :).

Thank you! Yes, it is sad. Maybe if we all start buying mags again?
Yes! I really like both rainy days and sunny days.
That is my issue with the crust. I can’t make mine look very good so I just buy the frozen ones and they are fine for me. I also love a crustless quiche.

I get excited about weekends with little or no plans, mah jong, a good tribute band, and fresh, clean sheets!

This is such a great list of romanticized things in your life! I loved reading every part of this and seeing what makes you smile or get excited. Here’s my list: being pulled into a fantastic book from page one, a sunny day, a greeting in the hall from students, laughter, spending time with my friends, that early morning cup of coffee, texts from Chris when he calls me his nicknames for me…I could go on and on. Thanks for sharing this list today!

This is a fun list! I cannot resist cute/funny cocktail napkins and we go through them here so I’m always picking up new. I love the Mah Jong mat. Mine is plain which I liked when I first learned because it wasn’t distracting, but I think I need a pretty one now. Happy Thursday…we’ve got a spring rain happening now, but we need it so I’m not complaining.
