You all – these lists are really helping me! Not only do I type it up here on the blog, but I hand write one (you could just print it out) and keep it visible on my memo board. It helps me to be intentional and really take advantage of the season. My friends say that I always know about events and new places around town. My sources are Facebook, Instagram, the free local magazine type things, and just talking to people. I go ahead and write them in on my paper agenda and if I can go, I go. I keep a list of new places in my phone memo, too.
I did really well in March on my list and it just made life more fun.
Adult Easter basket/bag – check – I got these cute little 49 cent carrot bags at Kroger and made one for my kids and their roommates – mostly food stuff. I didn’t go crazy. I work hard to find ways to show my adult kids love because it gets harder. I try to send positive texts and buy little treats for them when I see something. My mom was always getting me little gifts. She loved to send me home with food or things she didn’t want anymore.

Do an April Fool’s Day prank on Tom -check. I wrapped up small green grapes in Hershey’s kiss wrappers and switched his regular soft drink for diet. I had fun with it!
Cook an Easter meal – check – whew! It was a lot of work!
Switch out minimal Easter decor for minimal Derby decor
Keep playing Mah jong – try to go to Monday night Mah Jong at a local restaurant
Look for appropriate places to play Mah jong at local businesses (bonus if it’s a patio)
Continue spring clean out list – try to do one area per day in April
Wrap up Spanish tutoring with my student – it’s been a great experience!
Go to one new place a week – a coffee shop, a store, or a restaurant, or walking trail
Walk outside in different places/Walk EO in different locales
Go through spring and summer clothing (curating my style) – Words I identify with or want to identify with this season – classic, prep, Nantucket, blues, pinks, greens, yellows, whites, creams – quality over quantity, only things I love and “feel” like me – I feel like my summer style is more classic or maybe it’s more of an age thing. I am curating my spring/summer shoes, too.
Listen to live music – outside if possible – I have a couple dates on my calendar of opportunities for this
Read outside
Visit a farmer’s market
Attend some spring events going on in town
Watch steamboat race (part of Derby)
Watch airshow (part of Derby)
Attend Churchill Downs racing day for locals (5 days before actual Derby) with college friends
Plan Mother’s Day – not sure my kids will be off work
Host on my patio
Teach Tom and kids how to play mah jong – check! It was comical
I’m sure I will think of some other things I want to do!

I like how you are intentional with doing things. I am less of a “doer” and less social which is ok- it’s how I’m naturally inclined and one way isn’t better or worse than the other. It’s interesting to read and think about the things that are important to others. I love reading your lists! I do get inspired to try something new or something outside my comfort zone so I am grateful that you and others write posts like these :). Have a great one!

Sorry – I couldn’t comment on yours or Joyce’s blogs today due to Google. I tried multiple things – ugh! So many cookies for the lawyers! I loved hearing the history of the law firm and I am still so happy he moved out – think that is a great change.
Yes, I need a few fun things on my calendar for my mental health. It’s been good for me.

Your April Fools Day prank was so good!
I need to order some sliders for my Mah Jong set and then I think I might be able to have friends over to learn. One of my friends found some quick reference guides on Etsy and I think that would be helpful. I need to play more often!

Thank you! My sliders were about $20. I think that would be fun for you. You could play outside in the shade?

I don’t print my list out but I already have a “How I Did with my Spring Bucket List” post started and I tend to check in on it every couple of weeks to see what I’m remembering or forgetting (or sometimes just plain old putting off– like calligraphy!).

That’s a good idea! I don’t always post about how I did. If I put something off on what is supposed to be a fun list, I think I must not care about it anymore and don’t stress too much.

I love your list! It’s attainable, which is a big deal. I love making a list like this as well, since it helps me to be more intentional. I need to work on my closet! I keep saying I’ll do it, and then I don’t. I haven’t had many free nights at home, though. After this weekend, for sure! Happy Tuesday!

Thank you! That is the most important – that it is realistic and attainable.
Well, the closet project can be a lot. I have too much and too many seasons facing me when I go in mine.

Yep! I feel the same if I put something in writing I am more intentional about getting it done. You did really well with your March list. It sounds like you have some great plans to work through.

Great job on the bucket list! I always do more if I have a list, even if it’s only in my head. I’m definitely inspired to do another one! We’ve been trying new places and looking for new places to walk too.

I agree – lists work for me. I love urban walks, too. I want to take myself to some streets with shops and walk and pretend I’m European.

I like the idea of writing it out/printing your bucket list on top of having it on the blog! My main goal the rest of the season is do spend more time with friends. As my parents move in with us in a couple weeks, I know I will need to get out of the house more. Or enjoy our 3rd floor which we are setting up as a movie room and game room!

I like having a list and thinking about things I want to do or try. You have some fun things on your spring list. We usually host a Derby party but it looks like it might conflict with my mom’s move so we may need to pass this year. Happy spring!

You have inspired me to make lists like this! I make lists, but they are all to-do lists and I need a fun list! I am going to do this once I move.
