So, we have gone from 50s to 80s in the last week.

Here is what I wore on a cold day. These are my Halara straight legs, New Balances, and my Target fish sweater. I was having a bad hair day but my hat looks wonky.

And, then it was warm. I tried out my new Old Navy navy blouse for the first time and I loved it! I returned the white version because I thought it was too sheer but I would like the salmon color. I have been adding more navy to my closet. I wore it with my Dillard’s Westbound jeans that Jenn told me about and my Kork Ease sandals in this photo. I have had the jeans for several years and the Kork Ease are from last summer.

Then my Birkenstocks to see if I liked them with this…

I can’t remember what shoes I ended up wearing. I think I switched to my Adidas Sambas.

I wore my Target blouse for the first time with my gauzy black pants to go tutor. I forgot to get a photo but I love the hem detail and took a photo of it while I was reading after my tutoring.

I wore a TJ Maxx blouse with light wide legged Halaras and my Mary Janes to go shopping. My mission was short sleeved blouses at Marshall’s and a few food items at Whole Foods which is right next door.

I found an embroidered blouse to bring home with me. I also found some Easter basket things.

I do try to get out of exercise clothes and “get dressed” each day because it makes me feel good to wear my clothes! I find myself changing sometimes 3 or 4 times a day with the changing weather and activities. Oh well. I can. I’m an adult.

What have you been wearing lately?

Amy

  1. Cute outfits! I ended up changing mid-way through the day too since it warmed up to over 70 and I broke out my flip flops!

  2. Your outfits are all so good! I love the new embroidered blouse. I think it’s so nice to be able to get dressed each day and wear what you like without having to think about how comfortable your shoes will be on a hard floor and crazy classroom temps. I always enjoyed getting dressed but even more now that I don’t have to think about all those things!

    1. Well, I don’t know about that, but thank you. Sometimes I put on things for a “trial run” you know?
It’s been so freeing! I don’t have many places to go but it’s really nice to change up to four times a day if I want to. Obviously, I don’t wash things from just wearing them a couple of hours! I am still just amazed by how few pairs of shoes and how little clothing I can get by with. I think my style is evolving a bit, too. I am just loving all the blues for this season!

  3. I like your new blouse! And the one you wore with your light jeans. I took a video of me in Kroger to send to Alyssa (I had stopped going to Kroger and I knew she’d like to see me in Kroger since she likes the store). Anyway, she commented that I wear too much IU stuff and I told her that 1)IU hats mean I don’t have to worry about my hair and 2) when you wear a matching IU shirt with your hat, you feel put together (at least I do!). So I guess I’ve been wearing too much IU stuff!

    1. Does Alyssa want you to wear Ohio State stuff instead? Lol. I feel like hats look a bit weird on me but I really like wearing them even though they make me a bit hot.
Thank you! I love a blouse and jeans!

    1. The ON blouse is on sale for $17 right now. It’s so soft. It’s a light fabric that won’t feel hot. Thank you! I’m making myself wear some different spring things as a “trial run”.

  4. I love all the outfits! I’m going to Marshall’s tomorrow at some point to look for some newer items. There’s also a boutique near my mom’s house that I’d like to try stopping in. I really want some newer dresses for the warm weather! That last blouse you brought home is adorable; if I see it, I’m going to buy one. Just forewarning you! Ha!

    1. It’s always fun to look at Marshall’s and TJ’s. I went to TJ Maxx to look at their blouses and left empty handed. See, I can do it! I love shopping my local boutiques. Thank you! I want you to buy it if you see it. It looks like hand embroidery and like something you would buy for a lot more at Anthro.

  5. The weather is challenging this time of year. I need some tops and a new pair of jeans, also some sandals. I’m trying to find cute sandals with an arch because it’s better for my ankle but so far haven’t found any I love. Have a great day!

    1. Yes it is! I actually love it, though. It will be fun to get out and look for those things. I think I would order jeans and look for tops in store. It’s so hard to find both cute and supportive.

  6. That embroidered top is so pretty and looks great on you! Trying to decide what to wear for Easter as it’s looking cloudy that day and a front is supposed to come through on Saturday so our temps will be in the 60’s. 🤔

  7. I love you snuck a photo of the hem of your pants! They look really cute! Love the embroidered blouse, too. I haven’t been in the Marshall’s near me in ages. I really don’t need anything except for a cute (but supportive) pair of Mary Janes and a couple of new but really cool graphic tees. Old Navy has been letting me down on that front.
