February is flying! We have had such a reprieve from the cold and I have loved it. It just makes everything easier. The mornings are still super cold but I have my awesome long waterproof coat.

Last week I attended a Galentine’s event at a open air shopping center near me and I decided to go for it and be festive. I have always loved pink and green together. This is a Target sweater from a few years ago and the pink pants are consignment this year.

The next day I wore my Old Navy tee purchased this year. It’s a very light pink with cherries shaped like hearts. I have on my Amazon Essentials cardigan and Halara jeans.

I bought a new sweater from Target. I swooned when I saw it. My photo is not great, so I will link it here. Just click on the red font “here”. For spring, I love white and cream and lacy or crochet textures. My very old gold clogs are not that comfortable to me anymore so I want to get a neutral pair of shoes with a little height that are both comfortable and modern.

I ended up putting this on for errands with Tom.

Sunday I went super casual with my pink and white striped from Old Navy. It’s not flattering but I was comfy. We had some more errands and visited some friends. I’m wearing my old Tieks flats but meh. Again, I want a neutral or gold shoe for spring. Yes, I do have a thing for gold shoes and I’m not gonna apologize.

Speaking of the bright gold Swedish clogs above – you would not believe how many students commented on them. I would have kids I didn’t know come up and compliment them. I usually said, “Solid gold, baby”.

I visited my school Monday in this outfit. My hot pink Old Navy sweater is quite pilly. I wore light Halara jeans and I think the gold clogs.

I often get hot under the cape for hair day so I wore a blouse with Halaras. You will be happy to know I didn’t go barefoot. I wore my tan Adidas Sambas.

It’s kind of a hard time to get dressed! Anything too springy doesn’t feel right yet and some of the winter clothes are too much right now.

I also haven’t been doing any scarves this week – yet!

We didn’t see a single silk scarf at the consignment stores last week, either.

What have you been wearing lately?

Amy

  1. I like your new white (or is it cream?) sweater. I love the texture/pattern. It is hard to know what to wear sometimes for the weather/season. I feel like I’m drifting towards lighter right now but maybe that’s because it’s going to hit 60 degrees today. Who knows what I’ll wear when winter weather returns? If I photograph my outfit there’s about a 95% chance I’ll be barefoot or just in socks. Shoes very rarely make it into an at home taken picture. I put my shoes on last minute before I walk out the door. They’re in a mudroom and I like them to stay there :).

    1. I think it’s off white but I did put a white tee beneath it. I know – we will be sad when winter returns. Yeah – I put my just worn shoes in the mudroom and don’t walk around with them. I go get them for my photo if I have the energy.

  2. It’s still very cold here most days so I’m wearing lots and lots of sweaters and layers. Though I did try wearing my velvet blouse with a silk scarf yesterday & corduroy pants (I ended up being rather chilly all day though). Your new cardigan is pretty. I like the pattern.

  3. Pink and green together is a favorite of mine – love, love, love!

Isn’t it funny how shoes can all of a sudden become uncomfortable? We don’t realize how our feet are changing I guess.

Walmart has some very cute shoes for spring and they are so comfortable. I am sharing them tomorrow on my post. I honestly cannot believe how cute they are and the footbed is so cushiony. Total shocker!

    1. Same! Yes – I feel like the soles are going to make me slip.
Oh, that’s interesting. I wish they would improve their website. It’s so bad! I will look forward to seeing what you found.

  4. Such great outfits from the week! I love them all, honestly. It’s too bad that the pink sweater is pilly like that…I kind of thought there was a trick to remove that at one point, but I don’t remember what it was now. This week has been strange for us with the weather as well. It’s really cold in the mornings and then around seventy in the afternoon. I’ve been wearing lots of thin things to avoid being hot at work. I have no idea what I’ll wear today, because I don’t have a ton of option for this in between weather! I’m challenged when I get dressed each day! Is it weird that I kind of love that, though? Happy Thursday!

    1. Thank you! I do have a sweater shaver but it can only do so much. Maybe I don’t know how to use it! Yes – pretty darn cold in the mornings and we got up to 60 yesterday. Right? It’s pretty tricky. What about your button ups? Blouses and bring a cardigan?
      You too!

  5. The love green and white sweater and heart cherries shirt – very festive but both can be worn other times besides Valentines day . I often dislike thinking about what to wear in the fake spring time period. Haha
I’m over the winter clothes, sweaters are too much etc …but don’t want to wear dresses yet

    1. Yes, I thought so, too! Thank you! I think I will wear the sweater next month for St. Pat’s, too. I know – it’s a really hard time to know what to wear. I don’t want to look too springy yet. I reverted to some fall clothes this week.
      Same! Same!

  6. I told myself going back to work I wasn’t going to buy new clothes because that defeats the point…I have plenty to wear…but I think I will go out looking for a “nice” sneaker this weekend and some pants that aren’t sweatpants lol.

I’m definitely ready to put away the sweaters. So many of mine have pilled this year :/

    1. Thank you! I really liked wearing it! We have them today, too, I think. Oh no – I hope we don’t have more snow. I did get my fill this year. A metallic shoe is a neutral! I have almost always had at least one metallic.
