I saw this prompt and thought it would be so fun to do with Marsha. I just went with the first 10 things I could think of. I can’t wait to hear what other people say.
1.McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish sandwich – I would say I only have one a year but “it slaps” as the kids say. My Dad loved this, too. As a kid we only got McDonald’s on road trips, and we took a lot of road trips. It was always our go-to. My Dad was annoyed with Kate for having to wait on her “plain cheeseburger”. Lol.
2.Fun glassware – I have two hearts, one bows, and one lobster so far. I also love my hobnail glasses and my wineglasses that are more square looking. Drinks taste better in a pretty glass.

3.Scrolling on my phone – Sometimes it’s what I want to do. I do have a timer set on my phone and that helps. I love the funny Instagram reels especially. People are so creative. I like to share funny things with Tom, my sisters, and my friends.
4.Getting packages – It’s just so fun to get something, isn’t it? It’s like Christmas! I hate returns with a passion, though, so this is what helps me to not go overboard.
5.Tea/Gossip (as in “spill the tea”) – I like to think I am just interested in people. I am a student of human nature. I just really like to hear crazy stories. When anyone asks if I want to hear something I’m like – do you even know me? Of course I want to hear something! Now, with that said, I am a vault. If someone tells me to keep a secret, you better believe I will – unless it’s something that is unethical, of course.
6.Classic potato chips – No flavoring, no dip to dip it in, just a small bowl of regular potato chips. My Dad loved potato chips so much. I do this maybe once a month. My Dad was a big runner and ran from age 30 until he passed at 76. He didn’t eat red meat or drink hard liquor, but he did love his sweets and his chips.
7.Brunch – I love brunch food and a brunch mimosa. I usually am good for nothing the rest of the day – ha!
8. New shoes – I immediately put them on and stare at them. This goes back to childhood.

9. Creamer – I add it to my stand up frother and it’s just divine.
10. Reality TV – Again, I’m a student of human nature.
Can you relate to any of these? Tell me one thing you hate that you love!

I hate that I love the secular aspects of significant holidays as much as I do. For instance, I love decorating for Christmas and my Christmas dishes. Getting into all of the secondary things can take away from focusing on that which is the most important part of the holiday. I also hate to love many of the foods that I do!! There are too many to list but many sweet things would be high on the list. Fun prompt to think about- it’s also interesting to think about what motivates that which the heart wants. I’m also interested in human nature. I’d like to think that’s why I read so many Daily Mail articles every day!

Oh, that’s a good one. I probably could have come up with so many more things. I also love some really good things for me, too, though!

That’s a great list! Mine will be up tomorrow and includes lots of food items– french fries, sugary sweets, freshly baked bread.

I should have said bread! Yes!

I agree with the packages. We are so rural that it’s an hour drive to retail shopping. So when UPS or FedEx arrives it’s a great day. I try to only buy at places I return from home. I loathe paying for shipping & returns.

That makes sense! You rely on it! Such a fun feeling to get something.

My son Nolan used to order a ‘cheese hamburger with no cheese please’ at McDonald’s when he was a kid. He insisted on ordering it that way even though we would explain to him that what he wanted was called a HAMBURGER. Ha!!! We laugh about all of the Nolanisms all the time!

Yes! McDonald’s is our go-to when my husband & I travel on road trips! And the Filet-O-Fish – a guilty pleasure!

It’s funny how the younger kids don’t see McD’s like we do! It’s kind of nostalgic.

I don’t know why you hate it, I like every one of them: from the filet- o- fish to the shoes and so on. Feel free to like all of that.

I will! Thank you! I guess just because we receive the messages of eat this, do this, don’t do this, etc. Sometimes it feels like you can’t admit that you like something not good for you or the planet.

This was fun to read! The glassware…oh my. I totally see why you love this, and I agree about the vessel you use to drink from elevating the taste. I am the same with scrolling and reality TV. I don’t love it like I used to, but I feel like I’m slowly returning to old habits, one of which was TV on in the background. I hope you enjoy your Tuesday!

Snack food! Cheetos, Doritos, Funyuns, Hot Fries…I HAAAAAAAATE that I love this garbage soooooooooo much.
Also McDonald’s. There’s comfort in nostalgia, I suppose.
New makeup. The satisfaction of trying something for the first thing brings me a joy I can’t quite explain.

This is a fun prompt! I might steal it. I hate how much I love gossip…And podcasts. It’s like being IN on the gossip?
New purses bring me an amount of joy that I can’t even describe. New shoes are a necessity to me. I never buy them for fun. Same with clothes. It’s not fun, it’s necessary. But purses are different. I do love buying new makeup and skincare too though. Same with new hair products.

I don’t think I have ever had a McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish sandwich. When I was a teen I worked in McDonalds and we probably only sold one every few days. lol I agree, drinks do taste better in a pretty glass and scrolling on your phone does get a bad rep but some creators are amazing! I love all the gossip too. hehehe

Having just picked up a package from the front porch, I’m off to enjoy my orange juice in a pretty glass while I scroll on my phone! Great list!

Apparently you and I have a lot in common – when someone tells me I can’t have something, then I HAVE to have it – coffee creamer and filet o’fish included. I will often scroll YouTube before bed although that’s supposed to be a no no. And I purposely hauled some expensive fancy crystal down from the cabinets to drink my beer out of because why bother having it if I can never use it? Also, people who say stop spending so much do not pay my bills, so they can hush.
