I am merely going to list my books in the order in which they were read.
I don’t buy books as a general rule. I read only library books. I read only books with pages you have to turn. Why? When my Kindle died many years ago, I decided I missed turning pages and decided to go back to old school. I don’t re-read most books and don’t want the book clutter, so I don’t buy books. It makes my reading life easier, to be honest. When I see a book I want to read, I put in the request on my library app and when the book comes up for me, I’m happy.
I feel no guilt at not finishing a book. If I am not enjoying it, what’s the point? So, the books you will see here were all books I enjoyed.
I prefer historical fiction and chick lit or fiction that is well written. I don’t love anything too dark and I haven’t done many mysteries since Nancy Drew.
Under the Stars and The Champagne Letters were my favorites if I had to pick. I also really liked Flora Lea. But I also really liked Christmas with the Queen. See my dilemma? I liked them all!

I’m the same with books; I hardly ever buy them and don’t want the clutter in the house either. But our library is rather small and I can’t often find the books I want to request… often even if I can find it it is usually through inter-library loan and for some reason there are many books that are just not available to request through inter-library loan– like Secret Night and Northern Lights. A few libraries at the other end of the state have it but when I put in a request it tells me it’s “unholdable.” Often I find if I wait several months and try again it might work but if not then I might break down and buy it for myself.

I am lucky to have a big library system. I can go to my little branch and they have my books sent from all over the city. They often don’t have the super new books that many bloggers rec. I think in your location you have to bite the bullet and purchase so therefore Kindle could be cheaper. I’m sorry!

I loved Flora Lea. I haven’t used a kindle in a long time but I might have to get a new one soon because I’ll be traveling and unable to bring enough print books!
