Have y’all seen the “Unfortunately I do love” trend on social media? My blog friend Jen beat me to this but I swear I had already started this post! I got to thinking this would be a fun link up or I would just like to hear my favorite bloggers share theirs, so have at it!

Here is the trend explained according to Cosmo:

A new TikTok trend called “Unfortunately I Do Love” has users listing out their guilty pleasures.

What are you most ashamed of? Is it your perpetual lateness? An overreliance on Uber Eats orders? A tendency to Like every Instagram story you see after one cocktail? Instead of allowing that shame to consume you, consider using your worst qualities as fodder for a potentially viral TikTok.

Here are some of mine:

Unfortunately I do love…

Wine from a can! Wine without a cork!

Buying new sneakers! They are so fun!

Jeans without any zippers or buttons, baby! Sponsor me, Halara!

Press on nails! I have made my bestie promise to tell me if they look tacky!

Ordering fries at restaurants to share with everyone! Bonus points if they are loaded!

Door Dash! What a time to be alive! We can get so many things delivered to our homes!

My Amazon frother! I have never been happier with my at home coffee (or tea). Starbucks who?

My iphone! It can do so much! I do try to avoid being on it too much!

Early music start times! Who decided music should start at my bedtime?

Small hole in the wall places instead of large places and chains!

Happy hours and happy hour bargains – $5 margs!

Cookbooks – especially the ones where people submit their best recipes!

Cheap floral assortments more than a dozen perfect red roses!

Boxed desserts that taste like homemade!

Self tanner!

A baked potato for dinner! Is there are more perfect food?

That was fun!

Tell me one of yours! Is there anything that surprises you about me?

Amy

  1. Oh, the TikTok! It doesn’t disappoint, does it? I don’t think there’s anything much too unfortunate about what you love, lol!! Mine would veer towards liking junk food. It is unfortunate on the one hand insofar as junk food is not healthy but it’s also pretty common due to how good it tastes. I’m a fuddy duddy (and cheap and I’m never drunk…) and am proud that I’ve never Door Dashed a thing. I will go out and drive to get fast food. But yes, agree with your sentiment of what a time to be alive, lol. Have a great day!

    1. Yeah, I don’t feel any sort of bad! I had a new to me fast food yesterday. My kids used to love Cane’s and I never got it for myself. I got their naked chicken fingers and they were so good!

  3. This was a fun read! I haven’t heard of this trend, but my algorithm is way off on socials, so I’m sure that’s why.

I haven’t had wine from a can, but Saturday night Marilyn, Kendra and I lived out an episode of Sweet Magnolias on my deck around the fire pit. Kendra came with queso and chips, six pints of ice cream, a bottle of wine, and six little cans to make espresso martinis. It was phenomenal, but I don’t have even one picture, unless you count the one I took of the amazing fire I built.

Anyway, I might do this too! This is a fun one. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Haha – your algorithm! You should do one! I love that you did that this past weekend before your horrible day! Wow! Did you like the canned espresso martini? My bestie loves espresso martinis and I have gotten her a few mixers. The best nights/times are those with few pics bc you are in the moment. That does sound very southern soapie vibes!

  4. We can’t get anything delivered where we live, including a pizza which is a bummer. You get used to it, but there are days I think how much I’d love to just order dinner. Amazon gets here of course : ) I cannot do wine from a can but we love small out of the way places and rarely go to any kind of chain style place unless we’re with a group that opts for that. I would have to think about this to answer for myself, but the first thing that comes to mind is I always have a jelly bean stash in my kitchen drawer. Have a great day!

  5. I’ve seen the tiktok/IG trend but wasn’t sure how to participate myself. I think your list is great! I agree with a lot of them!! I need to think up some of my own! Those are the best kind of cookbooks and I agree about a baked potato for dinner!

  6. Ditto for me on all of these, except maybe the wine since I’m not a big fan. My list would include soft serve ice cream and large to-go drinks from McDonald’s or Sonic!

    1. That’s ok! I would pick a harder ice cream over soft serve so those things don’t tempt me at all, which is good since I am tempted by quite a bit of other things!
By the way, I am thinking of doing a tea advent calender for Mason if you think Grace would like that.

    1. I think it’s also made its way to Instagram. It’s just a cute little trend. That’s ok – you can say that/do that. I am sure you cooked every dinner for years for your family!
