It’s Friday! I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share my favorites of the week.

The sun came out! Monday was warm enough to sit in the sun next to my deconstructed back deck; Eddie Otis looked like Mufasa from Lion King!

I had my laptop open and was working and he was like, “what do you think you’re doing?”

The historic flooding in my area was definitely not a favorite. We did online school from home Monday through Wednesday, went back on a two hour delay yesterday and then today will be back to normal schedule.

Tuesday I decided to work from a coffee shop because it would be something different. It was great!

When I returned home somebody was a little clingy. Eddie Otis loved online school!

Mason enjoyed the tea at the high tea we went to over spring break so much that he found and ordered it off of Amazon:

The little leaf sticking up from the tea bag is so cute. We enjoyed a cup of it this week.

I had more time to walk with Eddie Otis. He pulls on the leash but when I walk him off leash he stays right by me.

I finished this book this week and loved it! So cute!

Anyone else watch Clinton and Stacy back in the day? I am super excited about their new show! I love a makeover show and seriously learned so many style tips from them.

Is anyone going to try to see the pink moon this weekend?

I got out one evening this week. It was Erica’s birthday and she had a girls’ dinner Wednesday night at an Italian restaurant called Ciao. I met some new people, too.

I got an Aperol Spritz and a beet salad and some manicotti.

I shouldn’t tell you about my favorite thing I baked this week:

They were delicious!

Eddie Otis doesn’t do this with me but he does it with Tom. Look at him curled up and sleeping like a baby. He weighs 80 pounds. An 80 pound lap dog!

I found some great lounging shorts at Target and you can read about them here. Wednesday I did my hodgepodge post, Tuesday I talked about spring goals, and Monday I recapped my weekend and second half of spring break.

What were your favorites this week? I hope you had many! I also hope spring comes for all of us once and for all!

Amy

  1. Your dog does look like Mufasa! I hope the water is receding from your area. I liked What Not to Wear but yikes to the name of the new show. Of all the words/letters in the English language, that’s what they came up with? The show will probably be a no for me just because of the title. The Trader Joe baking mix looks amazing! I will pick up a box of that the next time I am there. Have a great weekend!

    1. Haha
It has gone down. I know – I agree – I guess it’s a way to get attention but I don’t like it that much either.
The baking mix was dangerous and I ate way too many.

  2. What a beautiful picture of you! What a wild week of school for you and working from the coffee shop sounds nice. We all loved Stacy and Clinton’s original show and I am excited to watch their new show. I literally texted that same picture of the show graphic to my daughters this week. Hope you enjoy your weekend!

    1. Thank you so much! I had to take it since I matched. It was but it was also a gift. I wish I always had that kind of balance. Me too! Oh that would be fun to watch with your daughters. Do you ever watch Queer Eye? The men are so sweet and I cry at almost every episode. It is also inspiring often about decluttering.

  3. How sweet is your 80 pound lap dog? I love it and his sweet face looking at you when you were working outside! Precious!

It looks like the week turned out to be pretty good despite terrible weather. Glad you are back to a normal schedule today.

The blondies??? My husband would love them, I’m kinda glad I don’t get to TJs very often! They look dangerous!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you so much! I wore my two new dresses this week because why not? Rip those tags off and go for it. I like one that is a little light on the aperoll and a little heavy on the fizz. Yum!

    1. Thank you! He is becoming so loving and sweet.
We are finally getting some 60-70 on a weekend but it’s a weekend I am going to work at my mom’s house. It will make that easier!

  6. Calling it deconstructed makes it sound quite chic : ) I didn’t know there was a new version of What Not To Wear coming out. I’ll used to love the show. We sent our dog to off lead training and he’s perfect off lead. We have to put him on a leash sometimes in the neighborhood if we see other dogs approaching and he isn’t nearly as cooperative. The trainer said when we put the leash on he goes on alert as if there’s danger. Dogs are so funny. Have a great weekend!

    1. Right? Just like the restaurant menus. Deconstructed tacos – isn’t that just a taco salad?
Oh, that makes sense about the leash. Tom has our dogs obsessed with him so they don’t leave his side. But, for a one year old puppy to stay with me so well and to come when called is really good I think.

  9. How lovely to be able to sit outside and Eddie Otis does look like quite the king of the castle.
The flooding sounds terrible but what fun to work from a coffee shop.
    That tea all sounds amazing!

  10. Those big puppies! Mollie lays in Michael’s lap too, but just wants to lay beside me. The first pic of you is so good! What a crazy schedule you’ve had lately with the flooding! Yes, I was a big Clinton/Stacy fan back in the day so I’ll check that out. I hadn’t heard about the pink moon. I’ll definitely pick up that mix from TJ’s next time I go! Hope you have a good weekend.

    1. I know! Isn’t that funny how they know who they can jump up on? You know – it’s been crazy but also good for me since I am just done. I hate that but I am just weary. I’m excited to try to see the pink moon! It’s good!
