I’m sad! This is the final Friday of my spring break. My 31st spring break as a teacher, by the way!
I am happily linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites. It’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
My first favorite is that I had a break at home! Travel can be great, but I have really been craving empty space at home. Did you read my post this week Leaving Space? I had some great comments!
Going in to my break I knew I wanted to sleep in, read, spend time outside, see some friends, spend some quality time with my little family, do some house decluttering and general maintenance of the house, and do a little shopping and a few restaurant outings.
I would say I did pretty well!
Other favorites were…
I loved using my gift card to get a fun and springy pedicure:

Bonus that I am wearing my new sandals!
I enjoyed putting on a fun summery salmon press on mani:

I supported Tom in his deck project. I watched him and brought him food.

I walked my Eddie Otis!

Tom and I had a fire one evening!

Tom brought out our old bedroom tv so we could hang out on the patio.

Little guy made me laugh everyday. This was one night when I came to bed and he was literally in my spot and sawing some major logs.

I cleared my closet and dropped off some donation bags. I loved having time to do this and my closet is so much more user friendly now!

I had a leisurely solo Target trip. Peep the doggy manta ray toy. Do you ever grocery shop at Target? I like doing this once a month or so. They have things I can’t get at Kroger and their prices are really good.

I made the last box of Chrissy Tiegen chocolate chip cookies. I am pretty sure they are no longer on the Kroger shelf. Best box mix I have ever used.

I made an electrolyte mocktail that was pretty good!

I finished this and really enjoyed it!

I made a Peep hot chocolate!

I was looking for something to watch one night and re-watched this. It’s such a cute movie in my opinion!

I needed new hairspray so I went back to this and I love it.

I did a Marshall’s trip and bought myself this cute little bag.

I did a practice run on these little yummy things for Easter. I bought just a small box of the Easter colors of M & Ms.

Tom did our first mow of the season and the grass looked so green!

It’s a luxury to do breakfast out and I went to Con Huevos with my friend Beth one day.

Cheers!

It’s tornado season in my neck of the woods. Sunday night and Wednesday night we had tornado sirens go off. Sunday they ended around 11:00 p.m. I think, and Wednesday they went off until 1:00 a.m. We are so thankful and lucky that we didn’t lose power or have any damage.
What were some favorites of yours this week? I hope you had many!
Amy
Your break sounds really nice! Your sweet treats all look really good. I don’t shop at Target anymore. Reasons are part logistical- our closest Target is not super close to us and part on principle- my values and the corporate values are dissimilar enough for me to chose other places to spend my dollars. But I know it’s popular and people find good deals there. We have been on similar weather/tornado patterns. Our tornado sirens went off around 9:00 pm Sunday and then 1:00 am Thursday morning. I subbed Thursday and in talking to students, it seems like about half of our town lost power. We didn’t thank goodness. Have a great Friday and weekend!

I love a good break at home – sleeping in is my favorite and just getting to do things leisurely is such a delight! It looks like you had a great week off.
I do grocery shop at Target sometimes, they do have good prices and when there’s a bonus I definitely do it.
Have a great weekend!

What a great spring break! And I love seeing Eddie Otis. He is hilarious! I was just at Target. No groceries but had to get everything else (paper products, vitamins, toiletries, etc.). I do like to stroll through there! Glad you all survived those awful storms!

EO is so funny sleeping in your bed 🤣 My dog knows exactly what a pillow is for. He sleeps with one of my daughters when she is home from college. If she gets up from bed, she comes back to find him laying in her spot 😄 I googled the Chrissy Teigen mixes and found them on Amazon. Not cheap but they look good! A favorite from this week is rain. Everything is so green here!

He is! That is so funny about your dog. I only bought the mixes because they were on close out for like $2! I bought one and made it and went back and bought 4 more.

Those pretzel/M&M snacks are my favorite!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed your Spring Break at home. I hope that leaves you very refreshed going back to school next week. Your skin looks flawless! Happy Friday friend!

There is nothing like sleeping in when you’re near the end of the school year. You made the most of your week! Loved seeing EO sleeping in your space! Jack likes to beat up the pillows to make a nest. Target wandering used to be fun, but something has changed there. It’s not as much fun anymore. We had tornadoes (or maybe one really big one) touch down. My old neighborhood got hit badly…many houses lost their roofs or the sides so you could see all the way through. So much debris all over the roads in spots. We couldn’t hear the sirens because the wind and rain were so loud. The closest I’ve ever been and hope never to be again.

I happen to be drinking electrolytes as I read this, lol! I’m so sad that it’s your last weekday of spring break but I’m glad I treated you right! What a beautiful nail color for spring. Enjoy the weekend. I’m glad you got to relax!

So sorry spring break is over but it sounds like you had a good one.
I love the colour on your nails!
We don’t have Target here and I have said if I ever visit the US I will have to visit one.
That lemon bag really is cute and breakfast out looks yummy!

happy Friday! Our town has a super target and so our grocery store there is fabulous. Most of the time I do a target pick up, but sometimes I like to just go in and browse the store. I usually end up spending a lot more that way though!! They have a lot of things that the normal grocery store I shop at, doesn’t. Good culture cottage cheese and a few other items i can only get at our target. MiLB starts tonight so you’ll find us at the ballpark !! Happy weekend!!

Looks like a great week! Love your little lemon make up bag, adorable. And I randomly shopped at Target for groceries last night actually. Noticed that their prices are better than they used to be, so that was a pleasant surprise. By the way, the Krustaez (sp?) chocolate chip cookie mix is awesome. My stepson thinks they’re homemade, shhhh.

Looks like a great break! Love your new sandals and the mani is perfect for spring. EO in your spot! Just last night, post surgery- Trav trying to find his place in the bed when Homer wouldn’t move 🤣ruthless! Breakfast out is such a fun part of time off. Crazy to think this is your last spring break! You’ll soon be able to do whatever you want, whenever you want!

Lots of time at home which is really what I needed to give me that push to get to summer. I will have to take a couple of days off to do my mom’s estate business but that is ok.
Poor Trav. These dogs get entitled.
This did feel like a preview to retirement and reminded me I need some structure.
