This is a hard time of year to get dressed! It feels one way in the morning and another in the afternoon, no?
I am happy to link up today with Kellyann and Jill for Fashion Files.
I pulled all my fall blouses, sweaters, and anything in my fall palette to one area of my closet. Some of the things need to go, but I tend to find those things as I am trying to get dressed in the morning when I don’t like the fit or how it looks currently. I keep a bag in my closet for when this happens. It’s been really nice having all of these fall colored tops in one place. I am just cycling through them and pairing them with whatever pants.

I wore this to meet Victoria for happy hour and stopped on the way at my fave consignment store where I took this picture. I am still loving these old MIA clogs and the jeans recommended by Jenn from Dillards Westbound brand. They are pull on with a bit of a tummy control panel.

I wore this Friday for all black for the senior class. Each class had to wear their class color. I am a senior. The sleeves of the top from TJ Maxx are a little fancy and I felt kinda ridiculous. I did successfully stretch my Sambas in the freezer with baggies of water. I also hairdryed the backs to make them more pliable. Ha! I AM ridiculous!

In other fashion-related news;
Overheard in class on Friday…
“He always has his dogs out in his Chacos. He needs to put them away.” They were talking about a teacher who I had also just noticed was still wearing Chacos without socks. The kids really hate feet. What have feet done to them?
Then, later that day at the pep rally…
This is a student teacher, so maybe 22 years old?
Is this what it’s come to?

And, literally the funniest Halloween costume if I were going to a party this year! The blue coats! Where does one find that shade of blue in a long coat? I guess Utah?

I bought Jen’s Amazon pants. I ordered my usual size in green and orange and they were too big so I sized down in the pink for comparison and I still think I could go down a size, but I kept them. I was fickle about the color but didn’t have anything in the pink color, so I kept it. Length was an issue for me at 5’4. They are a light waffle material. They look more like sweatpant material in the Amazon photo, fyi. I think they will be handy to pull on this winter even at home, too.
Also, I have let the Skechers Mary Janes go. They have no support and make my feet sweat something fierce. I am mad at myself, but sometimes you just don’t know.

This week, I wore some new pants recommended by Mid Life Posh Closet on IG. They are really great! They are yoga pants that look like a dress pant (ish) and they come in short! They are still a bit long on me, but I like the look. They are soft as butter, super warm, and have pockets! I am pretty sure I will be living in these this winter.

I forgot to tell y’all, but I bought a watch a couple of months ago. I love not relying on my phone at school, especially when I am a stickler for phones being kept put away.

What have you been wearing lately?
Amy
I have been loving having a watch again too! It’s been near 80 all week so I’m struggling to pull outfits together having packed away all my spring/summer stuff. Those wide leg yoga pants look amazing.

Right? A dumb watch! Well, you are the reason it got hot again. As soon as we pack them away, it always gets hot. Thank you.

I am wearing jeans, and a sweatshirt. Our weather is the same way. 40’s in the mornings and 70’s in the afternoon.

I feel we shoudl be past the 2 seasons in a day, yet here we are in late October. I have put away spring/summer and am determined to work with my fall wardrobe. At least it isn’t sweating weather, but I could it take it a little cooler in the late afternoons. I am still grateful for the cooler mornings and evenings! That first outfit is my favorite! I don’t think I am on board with the socks and sandals. I will wait for that trend to pass or just be thankful it is closed toe shoe season, ha!

I love all your outfits! I saw some yoga pants (isn’t it funny how they’re now called flared leggings?) at Costco for less than $13 last week, and they had some great colors in them. I want to go back and pick up a pair! One of the colors was a great mocha color that I can’t stop thinking about. They had some great things to buy this time around when I went on Sunday, but the only thing I bought was a new pair of leggings that are comfy and great quality. Happy Friday eve!

It is! I say go for the mocha. I have a pair of Matilda Jane flared in a choc brown that I reach for a bunch!

My husband got me an Apple watch for our anniversary…got himself one too : ) and I am enjoying it more than I thought. I used to wear a watch every day until mine eventually bit the dust. I am going to change out the band on this to a Brighton because I want it to look more like jewelry but it has freed me from carrying my phone everywhere and I love that. I like the pink pants…they look sort of mauve in the photo but they’re cute. It got up to 82 here yesterday so I was back in shorts. Have a great day!

I pulled all of my fall tops together in one spot of my closet like you did and it makes it easy to get dressed. I’ve been rotating through them. So funny about the Chacos 🤣.

I rotated by closet for fall over the weekend. Fall must be my thing because the space is much fuller now. Sadly my jeans don’t fit anymore. Neither of my girls wanted them because they are “skinny” jeans. I guess skinny jeans is another faux pas that goes along with the sock thing, which I don’t understand??

You crack me up, what have feet done to them? That really got me.
I must be hipper than I thought, b/c feet kind of gross me out too. 😉

Gosh, I haven’t worn a watch in decades. My classroom had a great big one so I never needed a watch even though I have several beautiful ones. I admit I do use my phone for a watch a lot. Oh, I just can’t with socks and sandals. I know that’s supposed to be a thing now (is it still a thing), but it just looks so wrong to me. I bought several pairs of 7/8 length joggers from Old Navy for my trip to Ireland and Scotland. Now, that I’m over the trauma of wearing them for 15 days, I reach for them over and over again.
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope you can be out in your boat!
