Well, that weekend went by so quickly, didn’t it? I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for maybe one of the shortest posts and least amount of photos I have ever had for a Hello Monday!
Thursday after school and I decided to relax…
I put on pants and a long sleeve to combat the horrible mosquitoes we are having. Tom bought me every product he could find!
Kids made dinner and it was stir fry with Spam!
Friday after school I talked Erica into going to the bar at Grassa Gramma. Isn’t it cool?
We had some beautiful cocktails – mine was something with blood orange – and these amazing crispy Tuscan potatoes…
I went home and crashed!
Saturday morning called for a nice Eddie Otis walk…
I made some egg bites from Olivia Snyder’s recipe if you used to read her blog and still follow her on IG…
I finished this book. I guess it was my least favorite of all Emily Giffin books and I had some problems with some of it. If you’ve read it, what do you think?
Tom and I checked out a cute little market and the taproom next door.
And, ended up at Waldo’s for lunch…
For dinner, we went to a Mexican restaurant to hear my friend play guitar and sing.
I started and couldn’t put this down!
And, Sunday I got to read in the rain for a bit…I spent most of my day on my patio and it was divine. I did return books at the library and go to Trader Joe’s, too. In the late afternoon our friends came over to see how big our boy Eddie Otis has gotten.
And, that’s it!

My highlight was definitely an unexpected text from the girls that they wanted to come to the cabin for a 24 hour stay. I hadn’t seen them for a week, so that was sweet!

I love your nail color. Sounds like you had a nice easy weekend. Ours was fun, but also exhausting so we laid low most of yesterday. I don’t have a lot on my calendar this week so am hoping to catch up on some stuff here. Enjoy your week!

This might be a dumb question…but do you blend the eggs and cottage cheese together for those egg bites, or just whisk them?

I am skeeter bait myself, and this is amazing! I actually carry it with me when I’m watering my yard… it’s amazing! No bites! I can sit on my front porch and not get eaten up.

We hiked a small mountain on Saturday but it’s been so cloudy we couldn’t really see anything. Then it rained Sunday and today… I haven’t read either of those books yet but I am waiting rather impatiently for the holds to come in at the library.

I would guess that your easy weekend felt pretty great after your first full week of school. Sometimes that’s exactly what we need! I love the look of that bar and that y’all went to see your friend play at the Mexican restaurant. The highlight of my weekend was Friday and Friday night; it was fun being with different friends and being busy all day long!

It was really pretty nice! I had more energy than I thought I would and I think it’s because of my work/life boundaries. It’s such a cool bar. I am so happy you have been out and about so much!
