Are you a seasonal cocktail or mocktail drinker? What about wine and beer? I totally am! I think warmer weather calls for something lighter.
I heard about a Hugo spritz and tried one recently at a restaurant. I looked up the recipe when I realized how much I liked it.
This is St. Germain – an elderflower liqueur:

I think this bottle was $18?
I then realized that is was perfect for the Olympics held in Paris so I enjoyed a cocktail made with it on Friday evening!
The Hugo Spritz:
A shot glass is 1.5 oz., by the way
1/2 oz. St. Germain
1 sprig mint
4 oz. chilled prosecco
1 oz. soda water (club soda)
Garnish with mint and lime (or lemon)

The St. Germain spritz:
1.5 oz. St. Germain
2 oz. prosecco
2 oz. sparkling water, soda water, or club soda
Lemon juice – a splash
garnish with lemon round

Neither drink is too sweet! I also think you could mix with Fresca? Anyway, I’m excited to have discovered a new summer drink!

Ooooo! Those both look so yummy and perfect for the hot days of August!! I love the French connection, too!

I generally like my favorite drinks year round. I do enjoy a hot toddy in the winter though, but other than that, I like a ranch water, margarita, or bourbon and sprite any time of the year.

Yum! I definitely do more bourbon and red wine when it’s colder outside.

I love a good margarita but rarely drink as I like to use my calories on French fries instead! But, both of these look so refreshing!
