Happy 4th of July! Tom is off today! We do have rain in our forecast, sadly.
I have two new fashions to show you, but I didn’t do a great job with outfits or outfit photos this week!
First up is the green Walmart dress:
And, second is a Walmart blouse that I happened upon online. I loved the print.
It’s the same print as my black and white dress, by the way.
I am currently reading:
I really like it! I just haven’t had much time to read lately.
I am going to have to bite the bullet and order a few summer books that either I can’t find at my library or that will take too long and no longer be “summer reading” by the time they get to me. That’s ok. I save so much money by using my library.

Some years I go to the store and look for red, white, and blue inspo. Some years I do a red, white, and blue charcuterie. This year I’m just feeling the summer foods, I think!

I have a chapter or two to finish up Swan Song by Elin Hilderbrand. I have a few books I might need to order that I can’t get through the library too. I have no idea what we’re eating today..

I’m excited about that one! I think I need to choose reading over tv in the evenings and afternoons more. I’m going to work on that this month! I feel like buying books is worth it sometimes for the amount of pleasure they give me. I’m also not opposed to reading summer books in the first few months of fall because it does stay warm! Ha! I am really a seasonal reader. If we decided to go out, we will push our hot dogs til tomorrow I guess.

Adding 100 Ways to Live a European Life to my list. We lived in the UK for a few years and were talking last night with friends who also lived there about some of the ways your daily life is different there. Hope you have a great 4th!

Joyce, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I think I am going to have a European day and try many of her tips. It’s a lot of common sense and things I already do, but it was affirming and made me happy.

I ended up preordering a bunch of books that were being released this summer. Freida McFadden, Liv Constantine, Beatriz Williams, Peter Swanson, Alice Feeney, Shari Lapena…gives me something to look forward to!

Thank you! Best when I have a bit of a tan, I think. It was just like any dinner bc the weather stunk! Oh well! We watched Unfrosted and really enjoyed it! You might like it and maybe your dad, too?

Hubs and daughter have to work today, but I did have corn on the cob for breakfast and a hot dog for lunch, so far. LOL

Aww shoot! Corn on the cob for breakfast? I guess that’s like Corn Pops cereal! Sorry I am craving cereal after watching Unfrosted the movie last night!

That green dress looks so good on you, and so does the top! I just don’t have the patience for the WalMart site. I started “The Day Shelley Woodhouse Woke Up on Tuesday and am almost finished with it. It is that good! Your Fourth of July menu sounds just right!
