Time slow down! It’s my spring break! Ha! I am happy to link up with Jennifer and others for the monthly Currently post today.

We are sharing what we are loving, looking forward to, buying, planting, and cleaning. These topics are perfect for me since they really fit in with my spring break plans. It’s really glorious to have a week at home without your hub home from work or kids in the house. Is that mean? Did I just say that out loud?

Loving

On Monday, I got a spring pedicure. I picked Lucky Lady Lavender by OPI – it’s a purpleish pink shade

Sorry – feet photos are weird. Why am I putting my feet on the internet? I wanted to wear open toed shoes for a couple of days until our cold front comes in. I am getting ready to curate my sandal collection for this season and see what I need/want. Yup, it’s getting cold again and then it’s warming up again.

I’m loving the purple trees mixed in with all the green. I don’t know the name of them but they are everywhere I turn around here.

I am loving finding a new author and I am on my second book now and have two more of hers lined up. I also want to read The Women by Kristin Hannah and the new Sarah Adams book. She is another favorite newish author.

Looking Forward To

I mean, what else can I say right now? I am looking forward to having a dog in the house again.

Buying

We will be buying all the puppy things, of course!

I am also buying birdseed. I add it to my Kroger order and a 5 lb. bag fills both of these feeders that I have had forever. One was a wedding gift and I’ve been married 24 years!

I bought this ON sweater which is perfect for spring and I returned a pair of jeans that I tried and didn’t work. I was so excited to see that I happened upon a $5 graphic tee sale. I bought this Malibu Beach and another cute graphic tee you will see tomorrow if you come back!

This was my Saturday outfit!

Planting

A sweet student brought me this hyacinth and I had this adorable empty planter so I guess you could say I am “planting” this.

Cleaning

Basically I am trying to clean out everything – my closet and all the spaces in the house. I took 5 bags to donate Monday. I am also trying to see my house with a puppy’s eyes – ha! We also are having houseguests at the end of April and I want to make sure my house will be ready.

So, that’s what I’m up to Currently! What about you?

  1. Yes, getting the house puppy ready is a task!! Gosh I forgot about how puppy Sophie chewed all the things!!

Also – LOVE your Malibu graphic tee with that sweater. The color is so pretty with your fabulous hair! You look so coastal chic!

    1. It’s so much like a newborn and toddler!
Thank you! I was pretty excited to find two tees for $10! I am having fun with them!
Thank you so much – debating getting some length taken off and wearing it straight? I don’t know?

  2. I’m glad you’re enjoying your break! And how nice to have great weather for the week you’re off. You’re making me want to check out the author you’ve found! I think you’re the one who turned me onto Sarah Adams, and I want to read her newest book as well. There’s another new one that just came out yesterday that I want to read, but I can’t remember the name of the book or the author off the top of my head. I saw it on my friend’s FB page last night. I’ll try to remember to share it on Friday! I love the new cardigan and the hope of getting that sweet puppy soon. I know you’re beyond excited!

    1. I thought you were the one who recommended Cara Bastone? I will warn you that the end of the book had some racy love scenes but the book was a romance but deeper if you know what I mean? I am on Can’t Help Falling and you don’t really need to read them in order, but I wanted to. The same characters appear. Sarah Adams new book comes out this month/came out and I was able to request it at the library! Yay! All I can handle right now is easy chick lit. I am excited to read The Women but that will be a while.
I’m having a great time so far. I really needed this. I know my life is getting ready to change drastically with a pup, but we have lots of love to give.

  5. Love your Saturday outfit, perfectly casual yet pulled together. You are making me want clogs! And your feet picture comment made me laugh, I send pedicure pics to my friends periodically to get their input on my color choice. They probably think it’s weird too.

Always appreciate a new author recommendation. Just read Lady Tan’s Circle of Women, set in 15th century China. So fascinating, couldn’t put it down. Think my husband has heard enough about foot binding for a while, ha!

  6. Oh my gosh!!! That puppy is adorable! Is he yours? I’m trying to clean everything as well and not getting very far. The pollen is intense and I struggle with headaches associated with that. At least that’s my story! Enjoy your break!

  7. I have a hard time getting rid of clothes that no longer work for me. I need to clean out my closet and sweater drawers. I used to have no plan for what I was going to wear to work, and I’d choose an outfit in two minutes or less each morning, and it was stressful! I followed your tip, and now I choose 5 or 6 outfits on Sunday, iron the tops if needed, and hang them on the opposite side of my closet. I’m wearing a better variety of my clothes now, not just my favorites or my go-to tops.

  10. Getting the house puppy ready is harder than getting ready for a baby…a puppy just hits the ground running.

I did one closet cleanout last week. Two+ more to go.

  11. THE PUPPY!!! GAAAAH! I want to cuddle it so badly!! #jealous

The blue t-shirt was great! So fresh for summer!

I just picked up The women at the library, but can only have it for two weeks… Well, at least I can start on it. Since I’m always reading a couple of books at the same time (I’m strange), I can recommend Tom Lake, really good!
