Happy Saturday! Coming to you an extra time this week and much later to link up with Jennifer!

ONE:

I think one way to “hang on” to a special trip is to adopt some of their habits and try some of their recipes! Do you do that? Tom and I have a cookbook from our honeymoon in Aruba and I think it’s a great souvenir.

I just ordered Mason’s favorite tea and I plan to join also try it. We have an electric kettle out on the kitchen counter now!

Tom and I were the only ones home for dinner Thursday night and I made breakfast for dinner which included “Bubble and Squeak”. It was really good!

TWO:

Outside!

I was able to sit outside a couple of days this week after walking Ernie and it was wonderful! I am hoping to be outside this weekend, too, with this more mild temps.

THREE:

Ernie doesn’t want me to put the Christmas rug away. I think it’s softer than the one I replaced it with. I will be switching it back this weekend and who cares!

FOUR:

Have you seen the bow trend? I ordered this 2 pack off of Amazon and the bow has a hairclip on the back.

It’s hard to get a photo, but I kind of liked it!

What’s something you would share on this Saturday?

Happy Weekend!

Amy

  1. Gosh, I can remember wearing bows in my hair in middle and high school; so funny to see all these trends coming back around.

  2. cute bows! I just learned how millennials take selfies vs gen z so that was a new party trick. Gen Z- put phone on .5 (i used my timer for this) turn phone around and snap a pic. Genius. You get a much more broad or zoomed out pic! Learning new hacks for my iPhone all the time and then i forget what i learned but using the timer is easiest for me! Have u tried this?

  3. Yorkshire Tea is a staple in our pantry and we love Bubble and Squeak! Love the bows, they’ve been featured by a couple of fancy vloggers recently – pretty pricey versions so I’m glad you found an option on Amazon.

  4. That’s great that you’re adopting some new habits to try at home from your vacation! I collect books of places I visit, imagine that. I am not a big tea drinker, but I always like it when I do have a cup. I’ll be drinking a homemade medicine ball this weekend! I’m fighting off whatever crud Jonah has had the last two days. The weather fluctuating is trying to kill us all! I’m so glad you linked up here today! Enjoy the Saturday!

  5. Bows are so nice, but I’m a bit worried it’s too girly for me… But I like the look on you, maybe the secret is to have a smaller bow, like you have.

Let Ernie have his rug! I will start a petition! 😀

  6. I love bows only they don’t look great with my straight hair bob, your bow looks really nice with your long hair! I also love a good cuppa, my favorite is earl grey but I’m going to check out the Yorkshire tea on amazon. Have a great weekend!

  7. What a wonderful way to remember trips! I need to try this the next time. I haven’t ever been able to keep anything in my hair as it’s so fine. But, I think you look great with that bow! And, what is bubble and squeak? I’ve always heard of it, but I never knew what it was.

I have just been hibernating because I think it’s rained here for about a week straight!

    1. They are kind of hard to pull off with my thick hair. I’m trying! I love having the kettle ready. It’s great for ramen and oatmeal, too. I really do want to make scones! Checking this out!
