Happy Saturday and here I am with a Share 4 Somethings post with Jennifer and others!

ONE

This first thing is a little story about my shower or really it’s about 23 years of marriage. Since Monday, I think, Tom and I have been silently pranking each other without saying a word. We have 3 shelves in our primary bathroom shower and I have felt entitled to two of the three. You agree with me, right?

Tom kept moving my stuff off of the second shelf and putting his stuff. Each day I would move one of his things and he would move one of mine. It finally hit a head yesterday morning when I woke up to…

all of my products outside of the shower! Yes, I currently have a lot because I am using up certain things and because I like to have choices!

I hid all of his stuff and then heard the shower running. He had just opened his new bottles. I came in the bathroom and we just both started laughing. This is marriage!

TWO

Golden Bachelor! I’ve only watched a bit of the first episode but I found it so refreshing! He is a 70 year old sweet widower and is delightfully nerdy. The women look seriously good for 60-70 plus and they are inspirations. I thought the interactions between the women in the house – so far – were also so much more kind than those of the younger women.

Leaves are starting to fall!

A nearby restaurant just changed concepts from California chic to Italian seafood but they kept their great happy hour, so Erica and I celebrated yesterday after school!

  1. I love your twist on this! That shower prank is HILARIOUS. Todd and I do things like that to each other all the time as well, and then we crack up over ourselves. I’m already up and dressed for my morning flight…just waiting on 7:30 to get here!

  2. Sense of humor is the glue to marriage! My hubby is always getting me. YES, to the Golden Bachelor. I am not much of a TV person but decided to watch this. Maybe you should make this a weekly conversation piece on the blog.

    1. It is! Tom doesn’t look like it in photos but he is the funniest person I’ve ever met. Dry humor usually!
      Good idea. I really want Gerry to find love! So refreshing and we have to improve the ageism in our culture!

  5. Your shower story was great! I love that you have happy hour with your friends – what a neat thing to do. I don’t know what would ever make me want to watch The Bachelor (or Golden Bachelor) but I do like Love is Blind :). I know I’m *supposed* to be happy about leaves falling but what REALLY makes me happy is the temperature is still climbing into the 80’s. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Thank you! Some of my friends are always “too busy” but I do have a small group that I can make plans with. I just thought the older Bachelor was refreshing and real. I am going to enjoy 80s this week but I will also enjoy 60s and 70s!

  6. My husband would never think to do such a funny thing! Actually, he uses a completely different shower than I do. I think he likes having a bath so he can collect the water while I like a walk in shower!

    I’m happy the temperatures are supposed to drop in the coming weeks. I love fall and hope it lasts for several weeks instead of just several days!
