Linking up with Andrea, etc. right here!

What a week! Going from Spring Break to back to work in person (transitioning from virtual) made for quite a lot this week! It was so good to see my students in real life! They are distanced and wearing masks and classes are tiny, but it’s still good. I forgot how physically demanding the job is. Plus, we are teaching more without a break. But, it is the first week and it will get easier once we acclimate.

Here are some photos from my camera roll this week that I would like to call my favorites….

The PTA greeted us with a bag of plastic Starbuck’s cups, coupons for Starbuck’s, Chick Fil A, Wendy’s, and Heine Brothers local coffee, Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, snacks, and office supplies. They hand delivered them to our classrooms and it was really sweet. High school teachers usually don’t get all the swag that the elementary teachers get – just sayin’!

Tom is Ernie’s favorite person. I’m his second favorite. Tom always asks Ernie where his Kroger bag for his waste is when it’s time to walk him. So, I started putting his Kroger bag under his collar to bring to his Daddy and Tom thought it was funny. Hey, we don’t have kids at home to laugh about so our dog gets the attention now.

It makes me laugh to see Ernie like this when his bed is so close. Funny story – This is the dining room where his bed is. We bought him an identical bed and it is in our new master bedroom at the foot of our bed. He won’t use that one. We cannot figure out why! He will sleep on our bedroom rug but not on his bed. And, of course, he sleeps with us in our bed every night.

I started back at school on Monday while the boys were still on Easter break. They didn’t go back until Monday late afternoon. I got this sweet message from Mason around 9:00 am on my first day.

The buds on this tree have gotten even prettier this week.

I love being an aunt! This niece was inducted into Honor Society and she looks so grown up!

I loved Ruth’s comment; I talked about hoping that blogs were not becoming obsolete on my Tuesday post.

I have been carrying my credit cards and wallet stuff around in a little pouch because I didn’t have a wallet. I decided it was time to get one. But, I thought I would run back to my consignment shop Sassy Fox and check there first. Sure enough, they had this Fossil wallet for $8!

Wednesday is our day to work at home. I thought I would show you the beautiful flowering trees now.

Ernie and I had a lovely walk in 70 degree weather!

What were your favorites this week? I hope you had many!

Thanks for reading,

Amy

P.S. – On Tuesday it was my Blogiversary of 3 years and I posted about it here. Thank you for your kind comments that were also my favorites this week!

On Wednesday I posted in a “Currently” link up and did what I wore.

Yesterday, I talked about consignment shopping and gave tips.

  1. What a great treat from your PTA! And how sweet was the text from Mason. I don’t think blogs are becoming obsolete, I think those who are abandoning them are finding other ways to make more money so they stop writing. I have a feeling social media will continue to change, and who can keep up with all of that?
Spring in your area looks glorious! Have the best weekend!

    1. It was so nice! I can’t keep up with social media! I also think the blog lets you go deeper and I don’t enjoy reading Instagram posts nearly as much.
It is really pretty in the spring!
      You too!

  2. I love the “good luck” texts and your PTA goodies. I always joke about that too- the elementary teachers get all the goods 😂 I enjoyed the weather is week too…so many pretty blooming flowers…but also an uptick in my allergies! Haha I hope you have a great weekend.

    1. Me too! It’s true! I’m
Lucky I don’t suffer too badly and I do my nasal rinse and shower at night so I don’t sleep on pollen or anything. It’s really helped me.

  3. Ernie on the floor!!! Are you trying to kill me!? 😀 Have you tried to switch his beds? Maybe he has a favorite?
So, your first week is over! Congrats! I bet you’re ready for a weekend!
Such a sweet message from your son! Your summer will be great! My 19 year is not that sweet towards her parents right now… Teenagers! (and if I might say – girls! are boys easier?)
Three years of blogging! Where do the years go!? I found your blog like August three years ago, because I saw one of your comments somewhere – I just loved your blog name! Coffee – yes, cocktails – yes, casa – yes! And I don’t even know Spanish!

    1. Yes! We have tried and it didn’t work so I told Tom I didn’t want to older one in our new room.
      Thank you!
Yes it was! Boys love their mamas and it’s a different relationship I think.
      I don’t know?
      So glad you found me!

  4. I’m glad you had a great week back and that your PTA spoiled you. I am trying to remember middle school teachers at gifting time. I bet they don’t get the swag like elementary school either. I need to go check out your consignment advice post. Have a great weekend!

  5. What a nice treat from your PTA. Seeing that my baby graduated from high school 10 years ago! I dont know any of the goings on anymore. My highlight had to be going to a new foot dr and FINALLY getting relief from having plantar fascitis since NOV! I know. My own fault for letting it go on and not getting it taken care of sooner. But I went and I really liked the new Dr. He gave me my first ever cortisone / steroid shot and today I feel like a BRAND NEW WOMAN. I was told to rest the foot today so I am doing just that. I had a nice lunch, with Tony, at our favorite little place in town and now I am reading blogs (yes I still love them!) and sipping iced tea. I should sit outside but I have such horrible spring allergies and all the blooms will kill me later on! Have a great weekend. We are going to the movies tomorrow to see Voyagers and then a golf date with our good friends and lunch out after, on Sunday!

    1. Very nice! Congrats on your foot! Lisa from Coast to Coast talked about getting those and then getting your foot fitted for shoes at a running store for PF.
You always pack a lot in! Enjoy!
