It’s Thursday and Fashion Files day with Kellyann and Jill.

This week was fresh hair day! I get a partial highlight with lowlights to hide my grays. I had a few grays showing up on each side of my head. I love my stylist Laura, and I always enjoy visiting with her!

When it’s super cold and snowy and icy, there is no fashion. Let’s just admit that. So, I have not been very fashionable as of late. I’ve been warm. Is it possible to be both – yes, of course!

Saturday night I wanted to dress up a little. I broke out my black velvet Matilda Janes and wore my no iron button up shirt from JCPenney – yes I said JCPenney. It’s a few years old. I paired it with my magenta velvet blazer from a consignment store last year or the year before. I bought the little polka dot socks at World Market last year. I wore my Walmart Scoop ballet flats that are satin. I also wore a little scarf that I ended up taking off when we got there.

I asked Mason if I looked like I was going to a job interview at a circus, and he said I had “Willy Wonka vibes”.

Look at Tom primping and Eddie Otis wondering if he was invited.

I wore my favorite black leggings and an old Walmart pullover for a Costco run.

The pointer fingers of my mani came loose and I replaced them with the little holly nails. I only want this mani to last a bit longer because I have a second Christmas press on mani that I intend to do.

I love my new New Balances. I have been wearing them almost everyday.

I have worn all of the Christmas clothing in my closet except for my tree sweater that I wore last year below. I have also worn my red and white striped button up and lots of plain green.

It’s pretty thick so I have to pick the right time to wear it. I have not bought anymore themed clothing or accessories you will be happy to know!

I am not sure what I will wear for the next several days leading up to Christmas, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will be cycling through:

Red Matilda Jane pants – a brighter red with ruffles and a darker red flares with tiered layers

Gucci-esque cardigan

Prosec Ho Ho Ho

North Pole Cocktail Club

We have 50s for a bit so I can break out my Santa tee

And my lots of little things tee

Christmas tree button cardigan

Merry & Bright Sweater

What about you? What have you been wearing?

Amy

  1. You are rocking festive chic!! Love it and I feel like a bah humbug with only a couple of pieces of festive attire. This would be a good year for me to have more being in school right now but whatever.

    1. Just red or green would be ok, too! It’s way more practical. Two more days, girl! You’ve got this. I bet you are so excited for that end of day bell to ring on Friday.

  2. You have lots of cute holiday clothes! My mother in law bought me a new Christmas light sweater that she gifted me early so I can wear it. We have a Christmas party on Sunday that I plan to pair it with some jeans (I should probably open it and try it on before then!).

  3. You have a great collection of seasonal styles! I love the holly on your nails too. We had a few cool days and now it’s heating up again which I cannot stand. UGH.

I did buy a graphic tee at Walmart last week so I’m set with Christmas style!

    1. Thank you! I am enjoying my little collection. The holly berries came off right away as I knew they would. Now my nails are naked and I will wait a couple of day for my last Christmas mani. It’s my art – what can I say? Lol.
I can’t wait to see your new graphic tee! These two Old Navy ones I have are so so soft. ON has really improved in my opinion.

  4. You have the cutest Christmas things to wear! I have nothing… Like you, have been wearing clothes for warmth so today, into the 50’s, might wear something that is a bit more cheerful. I do have a red sweater so might try that. Have a great weekend everybody!

    1. Well, they aren’t practical since I can only wear them a month or so! Red and green are definitely more practical and work for V Day and St. Pat’s day, too.
But, they make me happy and I think they are cute and not crazy lady – too much – but I could be wrong!

  5. I love those festive outfits! My faves are the magenta blazer one and the prosec-ho-ho-ho sweater. The Matilda Janes are great on you! I wore my magenta sequin Umgee top to church on Sunday; I always get so many compliments when I wear that! I am literally counting down…one and a half more days. I can do this! My principal has me covering a third grade class tomorrow…yikes! Hopefully they don’t run all over me. Ha! Merry Thursday!

    1. Willy Wonka?
The prosec ho ho ho was $8 at Belk online! it’s a long sleeve tee. It’s nice because it’s not too hot. I do love prosecco, btw so I’m not being fake. I need to see that umgee top! photo?
Oh gosh! Good luck! I bet you will do great but they will be ready for break and excited!

    1. That was a fun outfit. I bought a black and silver pull on Old Navy skirt last year and they are so fun. I would like to try a sneaker outfit if it stays warm. Sneakers, sequin skirt, top?

  6. I love all of the reds! I have been still cycling through all of my sweaters and sparkly tops and adding scarves on the cold days. I bought 3 more toppers at the thrift store including a red coat (yay!), so no more shopping till Feb for me! I will be wearing all of the things! I love that sequin skirt of yours. Hope you are wearing it this season too.

    1. Thank you! The red pants have been fun and comfy for my relaxed lifestyle.
I don’t like to “waste” my money on winter clothes! I hope to be very conservative and not buy either. When the new fun spring stuff comes out all bets are off!

    1. Old Navy, J.Crew Factory, and Kellyann even said Walmart! I do love my just Santa one with no words. Sometimes the words are cheesy.
I think you should! They seem to be about $60.
