Today we are going to tak about fall shoes – not winter but strictly fall. I have more than this but these are the ones that I am most excited to wear. I am leaving out rainboots and exercise sneakers.

I talked about my new boots. It has not been cool enough to wear them but I picture them with my denim skirt and a couple of other skirts and some fall dresses. These are by Frye & Co.

These are not new but I still get excited about my Hush Puppies driving mocs in cow print. No cows were harmed in the making of this shoe.

I am counting my Kork Ease for fall since I will be wearing them for at least another month.

These are from last season and they are from Macy’s I believe.

I got these Rothy’s flat on sale last winter

I love these heels. I think they look like J.Crew but they are Hush Puppies and I bought them at DSW I think. They come in black as well and I think I need them in black.

I have the burgundy Mary Janes from Spain, the black from Target, and the red/orange from this season Free People. I feel like I can wear the Free Peope for a bit longer but then they will start looking too summery.

These Birk dupes

Fashion sneakers

Cassic white. I love the Adidas Stan Smith with the gold and they are really comfortable for my foot.
The Dr. Scholl’s is nice, too. I mainly bought those for teacher shoes.

I really want leopard Mary Janes! I just love this trend but I am worried about some of my jeans being too long – I guess I woud just wear the jeans that work.
I also feel like I need some black shoes. I do have black lucky short boots. Ever since I heard a stylist say she hates black shoes because nude is better and doesn’t cut off your leg I have struggled with wearing them.
Do you have any favorites here?
What new pairs have you bought?
What are you wishing to add to your repertoire?

I do love boots and skirts with tights when it’s cold out. Your boots are gorgeous but I like all of the other shoes too! I really like those cow print one’s!

Me too! It’s such a cute look. thank you so much!

I struggle with black shoes too and usually end up wearing nude but I do love my black boots. I just ordered a neutral pair of Dolce Vita sneakers on Sunday.
You have a great round up for fall and cow print is really taking off this year! Thank goodness no cows were harmed in the making of your shoes, whew! You had me nervous for a second, lol!

I am in no way “done” with my fall and winter shoe shopping! I feel that I have some holes to fill – lol.

I am on the hunt for some brown boots but I did buy 2 black pairs recently. Black shoes are my favorite and I have a ton of them. I don’t like nudes one; though I do own a few and I’m hopeful they’ll grown on me.

I used to have more black but now I have more nude. Maybe you have too close to your skin tone or something? I think there are different shades and you might like some more. Look on DSW website for boots. I have been happy with their selection in the past.

Thank you! That was one of the things I did when Eddie Otis was hiking. Can you imagine how that would have gone down with him here?

These are all great! I like that you brought them outside to photograph. It’s funny what spare time does for you, right?! I love the Cork Ease, the boots, the block heals, and the new Birk dupes. I can see how your shoes have changed since you’ve stopped teaching. I’m living in sandals and sneakers right now; I recently added a cute new pair of sneakers to my collection. They’re navy with white soles and white laces. I love them!

This was my no Eddie Otis time and I was hoping my neighbor wasn’t watching me! Ha! So true. I felt like a big nerd and I loved it. I bet you think I staged the leaves but I did not!
Yes, I thought my shoes would change and they have! Love that! I want to see them!

I am definitely on team black shoes- I own and wear a number of them. They´re such a great neutral. I don´t have any nude shoes but I do have some light cream ones. Your fall shoes are cute! I can´t wear heals of any kind now since my great fall. Sigh. Thank goodness for low to the ground mules. They are my go to shoes through fall and even into winter on mild days.

You are lucky because flats are everywhere and they are in. But, sometimes a totally flat shoe is worse than one with a tiny bit of an incline – I learned this as a teacher! I can’t keep mules on very well sometimes but I love the look of a mule so much! They are perfect for your injury and h ealing.

Love all your sneaks and those knee boots are so cool. I just added a pair of black Chelsea boots for my fall wardrobe.

I love the cow print! I never wear flats but need a pair because of my wonky ankle. I’ve been looking but haven’t settled on anything yet. I might try DSW next week when I’m in the city. We don’t have great shoe options out here.

I do, too! Oh, yes and you might need to try on because of that. I have had good luck with DSW. We have one here but sometimes I order from them online knowing it is an easy return.

I can understand the nude vs black argument if you’re wearing a shorter dress/skirt or shorts. But with jeans/pants/long dresses, I think a good pair of black shoes are a must!

Yes! I was just thinking the same thing in regards to my black jeans and pants. The black will make it look like a continuous line in that case.

I saw that article about wearing nude shoes. I am disregarding it. 🤣 I love my black shoes and I see so many people wearing black shoes. My favorite fall shoes in my closet right now are my leopard ballet flats, dolce vita sneakers (tan & black) and suede tall boots and cowboy boots that I haven’t worn yet because it’s too hot!! I love your fall shoes especially your burgundy mary janes.

I used to do MJs or flats with dresses and skirts exclusively. It’d be hard to find pants that can work with them, and also with everything else.

Great collection of shoes. Ever since Covid, I only work two days a week in the office and so my need for cute shoes has decreased a lot. Have you tried any of the Hey Dude shoes? Very comfortable. I have the Birkenstock clogs (my family lives very close to a Birkenstock outlet store) and I wear them as house shoes as I don’t find them too comfortable to wear for long hours.

Nice! That is a good mix of home and office.
I don’t think Birkenstocks are that comfortable after owning maybe 8 pairs over many years. I don’t like the look of Hey Dudes but then I wear shoes others don’t like.

I only like the look of the “Karina” style of the Hey Dude shoes. As for the Birkenstocks, I live in their sandals in the summer, but the clogs …. nope!
As a dear friend of mine always said “So many shoes, so little time!”

All of your shoes are super cute! I have flats in brown, black, and leopard, as well a brown and black boot that are my fall/winter shoes. Along with my vast 🙂 sneaker collection!

You have a good mix of shoes. I seem to go straight from sandals to boots. But, this year, I finally broke down and bought some Adidaas Sambas, and I love them! I have another pair, but I don’t think they’re Sambas. I have several pairs of black shoes, but I don’t reach for them as often. I have one pair of suede Clark heels. I love them, but they don’t exactly love me.

I love your shoe collection! It’s one of the fun things about the change of seasons: wearing “new” shoes. I am not planning to get any this fall because I have a ton of of booties and a nice collection of boots. Only one pair of mules that were hand down from a friend that I love.
