It’s Thursday and time to link up with Kellyann and Jill for Fashion Files!

I mentioned last week that I am pretty much over my colorful summer clothing and yearning for neutrals. Well, it turned hot again and I have to wear the rest of my summer stuff. But, I will tell you that I am weeding out as I get dressed. If I didn’t wear something in the spring, summer, or I don’t want to wear it now, it’s going in the donation/resell bag. I have to understand that if I wore something for two to three seasons then I got my money’s worth! Do you struggle with that, too?

Here is what I wore on Tuesday of this week. I really love this dress. It keeps you cool in the heat and the colors and print are just really “me”.

Here is what I wore on Monday.

I wore this last Thursday and the red clogs didn’t last long. I switched to white sneakers. This dress is cut pretty much the same as the first pink dress. It is the same cool fabric. Both are Walmart Free Assembly! Both have pockets!

I wore this last Wednesday. It is a very thick material but the temps were really cool that day.

And, for Meet the Teacher Tuesday night I switched to this dress again.

I experimented with longer oval shaped nails and I could barely type. I was able to cut and file them down to “active length”. I love the periwinkle blue shade.

So, that’s what I’ve been wearing lately. How about you?

  1. Walmart Free Assembly does it again! I have heard good things about their fall line, but haven’t looked online yet. That is such a great idea to donate clothes I haven’t worn this season. Why is that such a struggle? I can immediately think of a few pieces.

    1. I haven’t seen much from the line yet, but I really haven’t looked. I know – I guess I always think I will regret it. I actually will feel lighter, though!

  5. I want to check out Walmart’s fall clothing; I keep getting emails from them telling me about it, but I always forget to go look. I love your outfits this week! I can’t type with long nails either and mine are making me crazy right now as I type. It’s time to get them done!

    1. I’m not too impressed by what I’ve seen so far. It sells out so fast, too!
      So annoying right? I pride myself in fast typing too! Sometimes I show off for my students. I’m a nerd.

  6. The nails look good, you do a great job filing! I tried them but they didn’t stay on, however, I think that was user error. I don’t think I got them close enough to the cuticle.

    Dresses are the way to go to look put together and stay cool. I really like the pink floral print!

    1. Thank you! Yes, there is a learning curve. You have to pick the best size without going too big and you have to get them very close to the cuticle. I like to buy petite or short length.
      For sure – the dresses are great for this time of year. My room is really hot at the start of the day. Today I am proctoring a test in an unairconditioned space. Seriously?
