You are my people if you just sang that title to the tune of song that shall not be named on this blog!

I fell in love with this gauzy fabric a couple of summers ago and want to share my gauze collection. Now, I don’t have links for you, but I want to sing its praises and I know you will see it in each and every retailer!

This first blouse is a consignment find – new with tags. It’s Old Navy and I really like it – especially in the transitional time in late spring and early summer.

This is also a consignment find – J.Crew. I often like to repeat a look in long and short sleeve form. I love a white blouse and think it looks so good with cut offs. You can dress these blouses up or down.

I have three Target Universal Thread dresses from three seasons ago? These have been work horses in my closet. I got the white one in a size larger because white.

I wear the black the most and most recently wore it to graduation.

I love this yellow Walmart Scoop dress! I have worn this a bunch.

I love my two pairs of Umgee pants. I got one at a local boutique and one off of Amazon.

The blue ones can give you the look of jeans but in a cooler fabric, too, I think.

Here is a recent school outfit I put together:

And another:

This Chico’s skirt was $5 on the clearance rack a few winters ago.

Will I buy more gauze? I can assure you I will! Do you have any gauze?

  1. I don’t have anything in gauze that I can think of but I do really like the fabric; it’s right up there with linen for summer.

    1. I agree! It might even be cooler than linen for me and you don’t have the wrinkle factor. I think it would work well for your part of the US, too. Can I suggest an Aerie button up? I love their quality!

  2. Well, now I’ll be singing that song all day!! Ha!!

I love gauze too. Your best purchase I think are those blue pants. You will wear them a ton! But honestly all the pieces are so good and perfect for all the things in spring and summer!

  3. I have one gauzy dress/top that I love. It’s from Walmart, and is a faded army green color. I love it with white pants, jeans, and black pants! It was sold as a dress, but I wear it as a top, because it’s super short. It has a V neck and pockets! I do always find myself looking for things that are this fabric, because it’s so breezy and breathable in our humidity. I love all of your gauze and will talk about it anytime with you, Baby! And yes, I totally sang the TLC song when I saw the title of today’s post. 🤣

    1. Yay! Haha! I had fun finding all my gauze this weekend! And I ordered a cute set from aerie with a button up and shorts that can double as a coverup. I have felt liberated wearing tank suits instead of skirt type swim wear since I can throw shorts on over. That’s my post tomorrow – coverups!

  4. It’s a very good alternative to linen, since it doesn’t wrinkle! I love your white skirt, it’s very trendy over here right now. I have a white dress and a black skirt in ”gauze”, I have no idea what it’s called in Swedish!

    1. Right! Honestly I have always been bothered by just how much linen wrinkles. Let me know if you find out what you call it! I love my long white skirt and have worn it a ton.

  5. Yes to gauze and linen for the summer!! I just bought a gauze top from Old Navy and I have a gauze Madewell top I got at Goodwill. I will be wearing those alot this summer. I live all of your gauze pieces. Old Navy has a gauze dress similar to your Target one. I almost bought it but wasn’t sure if it was too see through? 🤔

    1. Yes! Oh great! They really do keep you cooler. Thank you! I saw it in the store and didn’t love the fabric. The neckline is really cute. I wonder if going a size up, washing and drying would make it softer?

  7. I don’t have any gauze, but I need some! Girl, you did good with these thrift store finds. Maybe I can go do that one day this summer when my daughter is home. She loves thrift stores and always has good luck.

    1. I think we both made great purchases when we got those! I see that ON has a cute version with a cute neckline but the fabric just feels cheaper to me.
