Yes, I am a couple of days shy of the end of February, but I am an optimist and hoping not to buy anything else!

I bought a lot in January – let’s blame it on the long, cold month and the longing for spring?

This month, I did pretty well. I ordered and returned two things that I won’t include here.

I ordered and kept…

Two Amazon blouses recommended by Tanya:

Amazon bright color blouse ($17 at the time I bought it but now it is $25)

and Lily P. dupe pattern which was $22 after clickable coupon.

I would say both run true to size.

Walmart striped top from Free Assembly – whoa – the quality is on par with Land’s End – seriously. $18.

Walmart navy ruffle swimsuit – I started with the hot pink as I am still in love with Barbiecore. Heck, I loved it before Barbiecore was a thing. I had a hot pink swimsuit and still do but it’s really faded. It made me so happy. Rediscovering tank suits was life-changing and the hot pink worked with almost all of my coverups and just made me smile. When I received the hot pink, it was too big and I went back to get the smaller size and there was no pink. I thought navy might be nice since I usually go for black. $27.

Adidas Gazelles Platforms – First I ordered the yellow and they were so big. I have been looking at the pink/green since end of December or beginning of January and loved them so much I had an email alert set for when they came back in stock. That never happened that I know of, so I ordered the yellow because I also love yellow. When I went to re-order a full size down, they did have the pink, so I ordered it instead.

I got free shipping and $20 off for signing up for text alerts so I paid $105.

They passed the school test and I was giddy every time I looked at my feet.

The grand total:

$189 for the month

I think I did really well. I really just didn’t have much time to shop!

I would like to think I will be content for a while, but now I have to buy things to match my new shoes! Ha!

No, I am rediscovering my warmer weather stuff and that is quite fun. My old friends!

What have you bought this month?

Amy

  1. You got some great pieces that will serve you well. I really liked those Amazon blouses Tanya mentioned. That one print looks so much like Lilly! Free Assembly has really great quality, I am impressed every time. I’d be giddy looking at those cute platform sneakers too – they are one of my favorite color combos!

I am hoping to do my Closet Confessions on Thursday!

    1. Thank you! Right – I totally thought it was Lily. I am so impressed with Free Assembly – like better quality than most of what I own. The Kappa Deltas would approve of the shoes, no?

  2. Those shoes look great on you, and I like them better than the original yellow you’d picked! Great choices, my friend. I love my recent purchases, still and am wearing one of them today when I go to work! It’s so warm here today; we’re getting up to almost 80, with high winds. Rain and a cool off are coming tomorrow, then we’ll be back up again by the weekend. I’m glad I sat outside in the sun yesterday when I had the chance! Right after I came in, the sun disappeared for the rest of the day.

    1. Thank you! I really enjoyed the comfort of the platform yesterday and Monday! I hope I don’t regret the purchase because they were pretty pricey for me. Same weather here. It was so warm and now it’s really cooled off.

  3. The blouses are perfect! And the shoes! You trigger me to go shopping! 😀

No, not much shopping over here, still quite winter-ish so I’m not in the mood… I shop beauty stuff instead, you know creams, lotions and potions… That makes me happy!

  4. I love the pink Adidas! I’ve been eyeing several new athleisure shoes like those Adidas, some Nikes and New Balance. I really don’t need anymore shoes though! I’m a sucker for shoes and cute jackets! 😜

    1. Thank you! They are great tops – a little snug in the bust for me but I’m hoping to lose some weight there – ha!
Loved all your picks and your nice spring refresh.

  6. You bought some really fun and springy things! I love those sneakers, too. Both of your tops are such great dopamine items. I have been bad and not tracked my spending as I should. I wonder if I can go back and figure it out. I know it’s more than January, though.

    1. Thank you! I love that term. The blouses are a tiny bit snug in the chest. I wore my minimizer bra and still need to lose some upper body weight. Lol. I am sure you can, but maybe just move on to March!

  7. I’m still going strong on my #24in2024 … i only made one purchase in February. 3 for the year. Shopping my closet has been the best for me this year. I remember years when i had to have a new outfit for every event. Now I’m wearing what i already have and loving it! Only 2 months in but excited to see how March plays out!

      1. I would agree with that! And I’ve really been thorough when purging my closet. I’m keeping my favorite items that fit well, and i can use for years to come. Tony is shocked at the credit card and how little the bill is each month. And that I’m not getting deliveries every day or so !! Haha
