Today I thought I would share my birthday gifts and throw in some ideas for the women in your lives that you might be shopping for this holiday season.

First, though, have you made your list?

I start with a list in my planner of who all I need to buy for. I list possible ideas next to their names and I am not afraid to go with a theme. For example, this year, everyone gets something cozy, this year everyone gets jewelry, this year everyone gets something personalized.

I love getting a candle. A friend gave me this great smelling one:

I am definitely more into soy and less into cloying Bath and Body these days.

Most girls would love anything by Sol Janeiro – they make the famous Bum Bum Cream. There are amazing gift sets out right now, too.

I love these knotted headbands and wear them often.

I love getting earrings!

I also got a boutique gift card and an Amazon gift card. Seriously, most people would love an Amazon gift card.

Other ideas:

Laneige lip mask – there is a set with 6 different flavors!

I love my pillow spray and this is a splurge so it makes a great gift. My first bottle lasted a year!

I love foodie gifts – there are so many cool things from local cooking stores. Spice mixes, rubs, sauces, how about champagne mustard that my friend Beth from Host It Notes recommends? You could even pair it with a new set of champagne flutes if the person enjoys champagne, prosecco, or mimosas.

If it is a coffee lover, I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed my frother! The teen girls would love this, too. Maybe in one of the fun colors?

My popcorn popper that I love would be a great gift maybe with some popcorn seasoning and popcorn?

I hope I’ve given you just a few ideas today! Leave your best ideas in the comments or what you plan to do this year.

  1. How fun! I actually did something similar on my blog today, ideas for decorating for the holidays and some gifts that I love giving or receiving. I love gifting many of these same types of things for my girlfriends; I also love going into local privately owned bookstores and shopping their gift items. They always have great things like tote bags, note pads, journals and pens, magnets, and coasters. We have a great little shopping area in Memphis that I frequent every year during the holidays, and I like to buy puzzles, cocktail napkins, and room spray for people in those shops as well. They always have such a great selection! I can’t believe we’re talking about gift ideas….this year has gone by incredibly fast.

    1. I just read that and commented! Ha! We are really in sync. Maybe it’s because I wore THE JEANS yesterday? Room spray is another fun thing to give! My friend came over yesterday and gave me 3 speciality food items – a banana bread mix, a muffin mix, and lemon curd. Loved it! I can’t either!

    1. Yes! Thank you! I wore it to school and it stayed put – a must for me. I usually have nothing done until afer Thanksgiving. This year feels very freeing because I’m just not doing gifts! We plan to buy souvenirs on the trip.

  2. Great ideas! I love gift cards, especially Starbucks and J Crew. I give my sons experiences and gift cards, as well as clothes when/if they go shopping with me. For friends this year, I’m going to give a gift bag with a few TJ holiday goodies inside. That candle looks amazing!

  4. Lots of wonderful ideas here. I always ask my people for lists that they rarely give me (except for my daughter). So, I just keep receipts and hand them to them after the gifts have been opened. Last year, my youngest wanted a Whirlypop popcorn maker. He said it works great.

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

    1. Thank you! I really, really love surprises, so I hate my kids knowing what they are getting. But, lists are helpful and practical. I like to keep a note in my phone when someone mentions something.

  5. So many great gift ideas! I love the name of the candle scents and I will have to look into the pillow spray, sounds like something I need for when I can’t sleep well on Sunday night because I’m a bit anxious about starting a new busy week. I’m hanging out for the summer break!!
