It’s a Saturday bonus post with Jennifer and Share Four Somethings!
I’m coming to you a little bit late as I waited to finish this post until this morning while sitting on my patio in the mild fall temperatures. Ahh…Saturday….I love you!
Loved…

Nature is really showing off! I hope the overnight rain didn’t speed things along too much.
Ernie and I walked after school yesterday and enjoyed more fall leaves…

We live in a neighborhood with lots of mature trees and it’s important to both Tom and I to have that. We love our trees!
Learned…
I am hoping I am on my last days living out of a cooler. Wednesday is the big day. I learned I can do this, but it’s not fun. Tom has re-stocked the ice and made things fit and we have worked together. I am tossing some things today that have hung around the cooler for too long. It’s going to be so nice to have a brand new refrigerator and I’m looking forward to organizing things! Should I buy some acrylic baskets for the fridge?

Read…
This has not been a big reading week! My book is ok and it will be abandoned today when I get to pick up these two books! I’m so excited!

Ate…
Mason just texted that he misses queso! I got to enjoy some after school this week.

Texas Roadhouse take out was another hit for us…

And, Jennifer and others recommended this and it’s really good. I have enjoying frothing some up! Also, I bought decaf coffee and thought this could be a “dessert” after dinner. I have only done one night so far, but it hit the spot.

Mason’s cooking in England!

I’m pretty impressed!
Enjoyed…

having nice nails all week long. I did this grey mani I did on Saturday afternoon that is still going strong today a whole week later!
How did I achieve it? In about 15 minutes with press on nails! These are not your mom’s press ons from the 80s.
My two favorite brands are Kiss and Impress and I have found them at Kroger, CVS, and Walgreens. Then, I placed an order off of Amazon for a dark blue and a black set. You can find them here.
I buy them in short length and then after they are on, I cut and file them to a more active length, because “short” is still kind of long for me.

Tips:
Cut your natural nail to a pretty short length. Use the alcohol wipe included to really clean the nail. Take a really long time to pick the nail size for each finger from your pack of press ons. Lay them out in order on your table. Do the thumbs last.
If I can do it, anyone can. It’s really easy. They don’t bother me, either. I think they bother me less than dip or gel did. Let me know if you give it a try. I will probably take the grey off today just because I want to try my black or blue ones and I get tired of colors quickly.
What would you share today?
Happy Saturday1
Amy
I love the grey polish. I may have to try press-on. I’ve never done it before. The trees in your neighborhood are beautiful. We’ve got a lot of beautiful colors here too. Have a great day.

Thank you! If I can do it and make them last, anyone can. The key is to really clean your natural nail with the alcohol provided and to pick the right size nail or go a bit smaller so it doesn’t dig into your skin. Thank you! You too!

How long do the nails last? Does it do any damage to your nails?
Also, this is random….not sure if you do Wordle, but you should try to solve it today 🙂

I made the grey set last 8 days. I don’t think it does. I removed the grey and put on a new set right away. I guess if you have to force the nails off it could, but after 8 days they popped right off.
I do not do Wordle, but I did it and forgot to take a photo! Thanks for thinking of me! I guessed it in 3 – I had to look up the rules for Wordle!

I have tried the press on nails and love the look. Unfortunately, I can’t manage to get my contacts out of my eyes when I have them on, so it’s a no-go for me. The trees are so pretty. I miss the mature trees in our new neighborhood! Have a great Sunday.

Oh, I didn’t even think about that. I don’t wear contacts anymore. Maybe if you did them really short? I guess you can’t have super long nails, either. Thank you – I love the mature trees so much!

Those trees are beautiful! I bet you will enjoy both of those books a lot; they were really cute and fun.

Thank you! I am loving the first book and I’m sadly almost done. When I have a good book, all else is put aside, to be honest!

I am super impressed with your nails and their duration. I can’t wait to see the black ones! It’s funny that our posts were so similar this time. I am still loving that creamer! It’s too sweet for mornings, but I’m loving it as an after dinner drink. Thanks for linking up this month!

Ah, the leaves are falling here like crazy. It seems like they were green forever, then colors for a day or two and now gone. It’s good to see Ernie out and about. I hope you get your refrigerator this coming week. You have been a rockstar! My nails are so bad. When I used to get them done, they would actually peel off the back of the acrylic or gel. And, I have the Elin Hilderbrand book on reserve…still a few weeks away.
Have a wonderful week, Amy!

I always love all the pretty leaves too. Ours are mostly on the ground now. They never last in the trees long enough. I want to try that coffee creamer.
