It’s Thursday again and time to link up with Kellyann and Jill!

This is actually from last Wednesday. I think I had so many outfits for last Thursday’s post that I cut if off early.

I am wearing my Wit and Wisdom Itty Bitty bootcut jeans, my gold clogs, and a Target blouse from last year or the year before.

I threw on the coatigan and wore it to school but I kept the tags on. I am still debating if I should try the size down. What do you all think? I need room for sweaters but I want to make sure it doesn’t look too big and frumpy. It is incredibly warm. I was sweating!

Tom, quit getting in my photos! This was Thursday and I wore dark jeans that look black from Old Navy last year, a black t-shirt, and my beloved star cardigan. I love the weight of this cardi. While I love the pleather/velvet headband that was a gift, I think it’s too high/big and I feel weird. I need to find a black headband replacement.

And, Friday I wore Target jeans and one of my new TJ tops. You will be happy to know that I did put on shoes! I think I wore my white Reeboks.

Saturday night for dinner I wore my black pencil skirt. black cowboyish suede boots from Target a few years ago, my hot pink cougar top, and then I threw on a light vest to add a third piece and give it a bit more structure. I will be wearing this outfit again! I was very comfortable!

This is what I wore Sunday to a breast cancer event. I bought this sweater from an online boutique a few years ago.

Someone was walking around with an ipad offering photos and this was what she snapped of Tom and I:

Tom has no pink. Many days I accuse him of wearing “50 shades of blue”.

Monday for work, I wore my black Umgee pants and a really old Umgee sweater with my really, really old Tory Burch flats.

And, Tuesday, I wore this:

It was going to be in the 70s after school so I wore a short sleeve top in fall colors with this sweater, Target jeans, and old MIA clogs.

I am intrigued by these Bobs Skechers that look like Sorels but have a lower heel. I have loved the Sorel boots but don’t think I can handle such a heel, you know? I ordered them in black from Amazon and I will report back!

Oh, my nails are still going strong 5 days later – Kiss press ons and I don’t know the name but I picked them up at a drugstore.

Each nail has a peeling that you remove and stick and hold on your nail. Then you are able to cut and file without them coming off. I have ordered a couple more sets to have on hand.

What have you been wearing lately?

Amy

  1. Amy, I always love your fashion files! Where did you get your Wit/Wisdom Itty Bitty jeans??? I cannot find them anywhere! Many bloggers rave about them… their fit etc. I’m looking for a plus size so maybe that’s it?! IDK. Anyway- love the pics- you always pull together great outfits! Keep them coming.
Oh, and I am like you, I enjoy my coffee time in the mornings, only I’m reading your blog!

  2. I think you should size down on the coatigan – if you need to wear a heavier sweater wear a coat. I think this is a nice layer with a blouse or thinner sweater. If it’s big and bulky it looks like a coat. Does that make sense?
Love the nails, I need to try those. I am also gonna check out those booties!!
    Thanks Amy!

    1. I do want this instead of a coat!
My big winter coat is so bulky. Maybe I will just order the size down to see?
Do try the nails. I think the key is cut your natural nails pretty short and really take the time to pick which nail works for which finger. Going on six days now and I think it’s an option for travel!

    1. Thank you! I did order it in a size down to compare. Thank you! I really liked that outfit.
Get a pedicure and treat yourself. I have a lot of friends who do a gel pedi before the beach but I have never done a gel on my toes.

  3. That is a great pic of Tom and you. I have similar coatigan piece in camel, as well. I see that you want to use the one you have for a coat, so maybe the bigger size is best. I like to wear mine as a third piece, like a blazer, so mine is more fitted. I do love it – gives my outfits a bit of polish. 😀

    1. Thank you! It’s rare! I guess I would like to wear mine as both a third and a coat, but it is really, really warm so I might not last long with it on inside. I am comparing to the size down to see. I think it’s so chic. I love black with camel.

  4. When I read you were wearing your hot pink cougar top, I didn’t think it was going to be literal cougars! Hahaha!!! You have great legs and should show them. I kinda think your coatigan is too big. There looks like an awful lot of fabric under your arms. Could you get the size smaller and compare?

I have been wearing Wit and Wisdom grey jeans I bought last year as well as leggings and sweatshirts. But, mostly, I’ve been wearing painting clothes!

    1. I’m not the cougar! The top is the cougar! Ha! Thank you so much. I need to apply some self tanner because that is holding me back from weraing skirts. I agree and I sent it back. I was at the limit for sending it back. I ordered a size down and will compare photos. I am really trying not to setlle with my clothing. That means lots of returns. Everything I buy now has to work for our trip.
Grey jeans are such a good workhorse. I bought some a couple of years ago that barely fit and I should have sized up. Now I can’t even think about putting them on. I really love Wit and Wisdom.

  5. I’m on Mallorca so I’ve taken out my summer wardrobe again! Today it’s a silky blouse with shorts and Tory Burch flats! Amy, I’m so happy! The weather is gorgeous!
Love your outfits! You looked smashing Saturday night!
Yesterday I actually bought a coatigan! But it’s more like a jackigan… White and absolutely unnecessary and impossible to keep clean! But I love it!
