It’s time for both Hello Monday and Prime Purchases with Tanya.

On Thursday, late afternoon, I talked brunette Heather into checking out the new Hotel Genevieve’s Rooftop bar for $10 espresso martinis (spoiler – they ran out!). This boutique hotel is in one of my favorite areas of my city – NULU. Get ready because a Louisville favorites post is coming your way!

It was just so pretty!

It stormed while we were there! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the open terrace.

Checking out the first floor of the hotel and being silly…

After, we walked down to Royals Chicken and split some chicken and potato wedges.

Friday morning was a nice and relaxed morning…

I made jam! It’s on my Summer List! Check!

I also threw chicken (not literally) in the crockpot with a can of diced tomatoes and a packet of taco seasoning for dinner.

Tom came home around 3:00 because Holiday Weekend! We took our boy down to the river and bought new boat batteries.

We had black beans, rice, Mexican chicken and tortillas for dinner with toppings.

Saturday morning I made homemade biscuits:

We enjoyed them with jamy (Amy’s jam).

Then, Tom and I went to see this and I didn’t have high expectations, but it was really cute and not too dirty or anything. Tom liked it, too.

After the movie, we did a quick Costco run.

I’m enjoying my glass iced coffee cups!

Saturday night we just had Costco Bare chicken patty sandwiches for dinner.

And, I will continue on Wednesday….

Now, for what I have purchased from Amazon lately…

I bought this two pack of 90s sunglasses on a whim. I bought these fly fans and I do think they work. These were a gift for Tom. I bought Turkish towels. We struggle to keep our glass shower door clean and I purchased this product.

Ernie loves these Rachael Ray treats. I am in a fight with the mosquitos already so I bought OFF and my friend swears this lotion helps keep them away. It is not totally working for me, but I do love the smell and the consistency.

I love my new iced coffee cups!

I bought these “sponges”. They are supposed to help your skin. I bought those for my kids. And, I bought myself a new watch.

What have you purchased this month? What have you done this weekend?

Amy

  1. Too bad it stormed Thursday and you couldn’t get out on the terrace but the hotel looks likes such a cool place to hang. My boys love those Bare chicken patties, definitely a staple for us. Love your Jamy!!
I don’t really drink iced coffee but those glasses look like a great way to enjoy it!
    Have a super day Amy!

    1. Yeah, but it was still gorgeous! They are really good in the air fryer. I have been putting my mocktail seltzers in them, too. I like drinking from glass and glass straws!
      You too!

  2. I love those glass cups with a lid! I think coffee in a clear glass cup is so pretty. You already read what I primed this month, but now I want a sunglasses headband. I want one that’s thin, though. After I had already scheduled my post for today, I ordered some new bathroom hand towels, and some washcloths for my kitchen. All of my washcloths disappeared! Literally…I had four, now I have one. I’m excited for them to get here today. (Hello adulting.) Your weekend sounds like it was fun! That hotel is beautiful. I love doing things like that here as well. We have that really cool new boutique hotel near Graceland- The Guesthouse. It’s so pretty! I want to go back, now that I’m writing this. I love Ernie in the lake! I know he loves that!

    1. I really am enjoying them! It really is. I love the cheap thin washcloths that they sell for college students at Target in the multipacks. I hate a thick one! Ha! I am really into hotel restaurants and bars. They are so pretty usually and you feel like you are on vacay.

  3. That hotel is too cute! The photos of you and Heather are so fun. Homer loves those RR dog treats too. I love those coffee glasses! (You didn’t show up on my WP app today, but I got your emailed post 🙂

    1. Isn’t it? A great aesthetic as they say! Ha! Nothing but the best for our babies – mini burger patties complete with grill marks. I was lazy and did my post at 6:30 this am and just hit publish. I just couldn’t make myself do it last night.

  4. What a fun hotel lobby and all the food looks delicious! I have made chicken very similiar, but adding a jar of salsa in place of the diced tomatoes. It is a great thing to have on hand for tacos or other dishes. Girl, you know I have declared war on the mosquitios over here! Good luck!

    1. So pretty! Yes – great food here and that is my problem! Yes – that is also a great way to do it. I just only had the diced tomatoes this time.
Why do they love us so much? Are we that sweet?

  5. You should seriously write for the Louisville chamber of commerce. You make everything look so fun! I want to check out the Rainx. Keeping the glass shower clean is a struggle! Happy 4th and thanks for linking up with Prime Purchases!

    1. Ha ha! Thank you! The problem is that we have to get the glass really clean and THEN do the Rainx. Waiting on Tom bc I really can’t reach all the glass. It really is.
Thank you for the link up and happy 4th to you!

  6. I think I’m the only person in the whole world who has neither a Costco membership nor Amazon Prime! My daughter has both, and just today mentioned the towels were on sale at Costco. Maybe new towels are in my future!

Your biscuits look delicious, and that chicken in the crockpot recipe looks like something even I could handle!

I didn’t know you were in Lexington! I am near Indianapolis! I was actually at Kenwood Town Centre last week…is that close to you?

    Have a fabulous week!

    1. That’s great, though! You don’t have to follow the crowd. Costco’s towels are really great and such good prices. I do think we have saved over the years with our membership.
Thank you! Would you believe the biscuits are only heavy cream and self rising flour?
      You totally could!
I am in Louisville, but I did live in Lex for 4 years.
      You too!
