How was your weekend? Mine was filled with family at the hospital and at my house. This little guy is my nephew eating a cupcake!
This little fashionista wanted to make the blog.
I call her sister “Sporty Spice” because she doesn’t like to dress like her little sis.
This guy was tuckered out from all of the excitement!
I had a tomato caprese sandwich that wasn’t too bad from the hospital sandwich shop.
I’m always grateful for online grocery shopping and pick up, but I cannot tell you how nice it was to sit in the hospital by my dad’s bed and order. I have done this 3 times sine we’ve been in the hospital.
This catalog has some really cute things! Look at the buffalo plaid dinnerware! Look at the chocolate lab pillow!
I did some minimal Christmas decorations. I can’t muster energy for a tree yet.
I have a meal plan and the stuff for it thanks to my Kroger pick up.
I finished this and I do recommend it.
I stopped by my consignment store on the way to the hospital and found another pair of Matilda Janes! $17! It was Small Business Saturday and I had to support my locally owned boutique.
This weekend was hard and emotional. My Dad is still in the ICU and is still very sick. I am trying to get better at balancing life between home, work, and hospital. I did some normal things this weekend that helped me. My mom also got a break from the hospital because of my sisters’ help.
I’m not sure I’m ready for a 5 day week – it’s always rough after a holiday, isn’t it? Alright, let’s see if we can do this!
Amy
Oh darn Amy, I’m sorry your dad is still in ICU. I am praying he improves. It is so emotionally taxing and especially at this time of year, I’m sure you’re just exhausted. Lifting you all up in prayer sweet friend, hang in there, Christmas break will be here before you know it!
xo,

Thank you Kellyann. I’m feeling especially overwhelmed today and your message helps – it’s a good reminder that a simple message can really lift someone up. I hope I can be as encouraging as you have been.

Sorry to hear your dad is still in the ICU. It is so hard to juggle the holidays and sick family members like that. I can remember a few years ago my grandfather was in the hospital with a myriad of problems and I spent most days driving my grandmother to and from the hospital and trying to help her make sense of all that the doctors were telling her. It was so so tough. I hope he’s doing better soon.

Thank you! Yes it is. I’m almost mad at holiday decor right now! Haha! I’m trying to take it one day at a time.

Hi Amy, I had a rough November a few years ago and did not decorate much, to include no tree. By Christmas Day I was sorry that I hadn’t put up the tree because it is beautiful and comforting, so I hope you are able to do it. Sending prayers and good wishes that your Dad does better quickly and that you take care of yourself too.
Have a good week, Nancy

This was always the hardest day to go back to work…But Christmas break is right around the corner!
Thinking of you and your family. I hope you can *manage* some type of balance and hopefully your dad will be home soon 🙂
(I’ve yet to find a Katherine Center book at my libraries..I want to try one!)

Yes! It will go by quickly – I felt very overwhelmed yesterday but I made a meal and a visiting schedule and I think it will help. I’m trying to take it one day at a time. I can’t believe your library doesn’t have her books! Maybe your new one will have a better selection!
