This week has been pretty good! Next week is a five day week but I have a field trip on Wednesday so that will break up the week. The week after I have a personal day on Friday for my birthday. So, that’s what’s getting me through these weeks! Even though I love my job, I cannot emphasize enough how tough the fall semester is. We only have Labor Day and the first Friday off in October until Thanksgiving. We do not have a fall break for teachers. So, it’s go time from the beginning of August until Thanksgiving, really.
Moving on…
Number 1) I’m in love. Amazon.com – The MIA Sofia clog. I have worn these two days this week for 12 hours straight.
Number two: A friend’s birthday and when I stopped by to give her my gift, she gave me a piece of real bakery cake. Plehn’s Bakery in St. Matthews if you are local. It was like a ho ho, but better and it had hardened magic shell like chocolate on the outside!
Number Three: Hoping to see this this weekend!
Number Four: Current book club book! Loving it and will look for more by this author. Have you read her books?
Number Five: Fresh pedi – went with a brown color that already got messed up! Sorry for the weird large photo. It made me laugh so I kept it like this!
Number Six: gift for my friend’s birthday from the cake photo. Revlon Goldpearl Plum – the perfect fall color. Check it out!
Number Seven: This was comfort food at its finest. onions, baby carrots, roast with random seasonings on top. Dump a can of beef broth and cook on low for 6-8 hours. I served atop instant mashed potatoes. Delish!
Number Eight: I went to Target again yesterday and found a floppy hat. We shall see if I keep it based on if I can style it!
Hope you had a great week! What are your faves?
Thanks for reading and if you are new or behind in reading this week…

Gosh I need a pedicure like nobody’s business! That floppy hat is fabulous on you, keep it! Having a random day off here and there really gets teachers through until Christmas break!
Have a great weekend Amy!

You have me sold on the clogs. I love that color on your toes. I love that floppy hat on you. We also start school and pretty much go through until Thanksgiving (with Veterans Day off) and we get out for Thanksgiving around noon on Wednesday. Happy Friday!

Thank you! Are you going to get the clogs? We didn’t get Veterans Day but we get out the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. A 2 day week is a bit silly!

Definitely a floppy hat for you! I can’t wear them and am jealous that you can, but you might want to hold out for taupe or burgundy. Although you can add a bit of color to the hat band.
I will check out the book on my kindle, I just finished Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. (It was good!)
Have a great weekend!

Thank you! I think I need flatter hair when I wear! It’s funny you said that because I thought about doing something to the band!
I loved Eleanor! Did you read The Rosie Project?
Do try Home Safe even though I’m not finished!

You can’t understand the true beauty of a 3 or 4 day week unless you’re a teacher.
Is that a Neverful? My dream bag. Someday.

That’s exactly right!
It’s a fake! I went to a fake purse party recently. It’s my dream bag, too. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a used one but can’t find one. For $60 I got the bag and a nice wristlet that came inside. I hate to support the fake market or whatever it is but I really wanted it!

Elizabeth Berg is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read all her books and got to meet her at a book signing this past summer. Definitely check out her other books!
Haven’t been able to find that hand soap at Kroger that you show.

Oh so good to know! Which was your favorite book of hers? I haven’t seen it again either but I haven’t looked that hard. I originally found it in the makeup/toiletry section of Kroger. I wonder if it went fast when they put it out. I expect they will have Christmas scents soon. Hope you find it! Thanks for reading!!!!
